Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Professor Vogler on December 30, 2007, 08:27:15 PM It's an okay series... I've seen a few episodes of it.
THOR CANNOT HAVE A FRIGGIN SWORD. IT'S A HAMMER DAMMIT. WOODEN SWORD =/= THOR'S HAMMER! IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT! Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: DOMON KASSHU! on December 30, 2007, 11:35:55 PM MJOLNIR IS A HAMMER. I AGREE WITH BURT GUMMER. CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.
War. Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Hobo on December 31, 2007, 03:19:59 AM I haven't even heard of this before, but Thor with a sword both confuses and infuriates me.
MJOLNIR DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: DOMON KASSHU! on December 31, 2007, 04:11:02 AM (http://dessent.net/tmp/cruise-control-for-cool.jpg)
War. Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Big Money on December 31, 2007, 12:48:37 PM Wait, is this real? A detective show starring Norse gods?
... Not sure if want... Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Professor Vogler on December 31, 2007, 04:44:37 PM Wait, is this real? A detective show starring Norse gods? It's actually semi-good. It's not full-blown Norse all over the place... but it involves the Norse gods, on a human level. Sorta like Transformers, they bring their war to our world. I haven't seen a whole lot of the series so it may not be consistantly "DO WANT".... Not sure if want... Like Shadowdorothy said, it's a cute series... but has somewhat of a plot, so it's not just pointlessness with the lure of Norse-named characters. Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Brooklyn Luckfield on December 31, 2007, 06:49:33 PM It's not bad. As for the names, the japanese creators more than likely though the names sounded cool.

Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Bllue on January 04, 2008, 04:35:33 PM I really like this show... Sorry for beign a gril, but my god, are those boys gorgeous. and i do sympathize with that thing about thor and his stick, but really, is it that inconspicuous to be carring around a short-handeled hammer, rather that a broom stick, in japan of all places? Actually, i think thor should carry an umbrella, being much more conveniant. i haven't seen it in a while, so the names illude me. i love the guy with glasses the most... :]
Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: shadowdorothy on January 05, 2008, 12:00:31 PM you mean loki's oldest son? he's pretty cool.

Thor using something to hid Mjolnir makes sense, walking stick -> hammer is fine, Marvel's had that been his way of walking around as Donald Blake for years. The only problem is that Mjolnir is a hammer, anything to the contrary is riddled with fail and wrong. The only problem is that Mjolnir is a hammer, anything to the contrary is riddled with fail and wrong. I haven't watched this yet, but I must agree. Thor, to be Thor, must wield a hammer named Mjolnir. For further reference please check Marvel Comics, or the film "Adventures in Babysitting"... :) Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Bllue on January 07, 2008, 06:24:20 PM Ummmmm, you guys know Thor is a nordic god, right? Marvel didn't creat him, they borrowed him... you do know that, RIGHT?

Marvel didn't creat<sic> him, they borrowed him... you do know that, RIGHT? Ga-dur. They took Thor, and made him a super-hero. Gaiman's Sandman took Thor, and had him hit on the Egyptian goddess of cats. Japan took Thor, and gave him a sword. One of these is wrong, the other two are fine. Guess which one? Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Professor Vogler on January 08, 2008, 02:22:37 AM Ummmmm, you guys know Thor is a nordic god, right? Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: The Final Negotiator on January 08, 2008, 08:37:49 AM Ummmmm, you guys know Thor is a nordic god, right? Marvel didn't creat him, they borrowed him... you do know that, RIGHT? Yes, he is, but I was trying to find readily available references. It might take some digging to find older sources. Also, considering the subject of this show, I was trying for a little humor... I guess I should keep trying... :-\ Image searches on "Mjolnir" seem to return a hammer, or T-shapped, ax- or club-like weapon. I did find a cricket bat which bears the name "Mjolnir", and is similar to a "wooden sword", but 1) a cricket bat, being a bat, is a closer to being a club, 2) Only Casey Jones of TMNT, not Thor, would want to use this as a weapon. :) So, there you go, further proof that Thor should be wielding either a hammer or something that closely resembles one. Title: Re: Mythical Detective Loki Ragnorak Post by: Bllue on January 09, 2008, 10:50:12 PM ahahaha. I find all the ready information in the library... loki is my favorite god anyway...
