Title: PCF: Shattered Memories
Post by: Sharpshooter005 on October 20, 2009, 04:45:02 PM
So there was a followup to the old forums. And people post on it? Spiffy.

Some of you may be new, and not know who I am. Thats cool, lemme just say I've seen things.

Some of you are looking at this and you know.

My question is what happened to our old-school dudes.

Krang: This guy seemed alright, never talked to him ever but he seemed level-headed. How's he doing?

Shredder: Same deal, know even less about him. He was the sub-owner right? Two of you were very good putting up with all of us. I would actually say you were too nice if anything.

ACT: This is the guy who wrote that one fanfic where roger has to bang dorothy to recharge his mech right? Did he get arrested for exposing himself on the side of a highway yet?

Pygmalion: That was his wife. She was cool, seemed like a classy lady. Wheres she now?

Prince Consort Tessor: Did he ever get the medication he so desperately needed? The pills that would make his constant theories about how majestic twelve was gonna destroy us all, and how he once HOWLED at someone because they forgot what tank the army was using normalize. He needs help

His wife who's username also included the word 'tessor': Still saying wiccans are oppressed? Protip: You're a lax ripoff of druids, and as someone of Irish descent I find it offensive and sorta wish you would be oppressed.

Tony: Are you enjoying your marriage to a train-fixated, probably autistic girl much younger than you? Whats it like being kinda a creep.

Chitter-Box-Kat: Tell me you're still out there. Otherwise I might think you're dead, and then I might start believing that a just god exists, and it'd throw me off.

Shaoblane: Your nose was odd..thats really all I remember. Oh wait, no, you made some parody of a '50s 'duck and cover' style newsreel that I found lazy. There was a lot of ground to mine there, you just picked up the first rocks you saw.

You'll notice theres some omissions here. Don't worry about them though, they're quite safe and happy.

Prince Consort Tesser's wife's username was "Lady Tesser" if I remember correctly (maybe it was spelled "tesser"). I haven't seen or heard anything about them in a long time.

Krang and Shreder are still running The Technodrome Forum, not much happening there.

I remember Beth and Tony stopped posting quite a while before the old forums got closed. Beth still updates her deviant art account every now and then:
http://bethmcbeth.deviantart.com/

As for A Clockwork Tomato, I'm reasonably sure he's this guy:
http://www.plamondon.com/
I remember him posting about one of his books at PCF at one point.

That's all I got really.

Krang and Shedder still come here every now and then. Still tending to the Techno Drome as well.

Chitter-Box-Kat

Oh god... I remember her flipping out because I was ranking on Yaoi, like any sane person would do.

Tony

Glad to know I wasn't the only one that though that whole situation was creepy as hell. Last I heard from him was on the old forums when he posted a lulz thread about how he was to grown up for forums or something to that effect.

I'm a fan of honesty, regardless of the pain it might cause.

I remember talking with Chitter-Box-Kat quite a bit. She wasn't the crazy one--it was mainly one of her friends. I forgot her name. This other girl posted in the "life problems/venting" threads quite often. When I was taking on members for my season 3 project, she sent me an awful fanfic idea complete with a Mary Sue. It was so bad, at first I thought it was a joke. Lo, when I critiqued it, she called me a bitch and ranted for a whole page of e-mail.

And people post on it?

Wait... they do?

I guess I just had the bad luck of running into Chitter's friend, because every time she posted it seemed like she was ready to leap threw the screen at an moment in a blind fangirl rage.

Still though, it's nice to see that Sharp and X are doing well.

I'm old. I used to post as GAT-Xbunch-o-numbers, but then I changed my name. I forgot most of that crap that happened on the old forum, wow.

Kind of lost interest in Big-O, though. Now I'd say my favorite anime is Macross.

Now that you mention it, what did happen to her?

I think that most of the people that I talk to actually are on here and post...once in a while...I occasionally send a text or a phone call to a few people, but...eh...lots of people are missing...I think...

Out of curiousity, which series is your favorite?

And I remember the Tesser's well. At least until they kinda dropped off the face of the old forum. I even had a something she said as a quote in my signature there.

DYRL, Frontier, and Plus are all pretty bad-ass. SDFM (the original) is great, but sometimes it's hard to get over the craptastic animation. It's even worse at times than the original MSG. Zero starts off really well, but then the last episode is pretty wtf. Shame, too, it had some of the best mecha porn in the whole franchise.

I'm most of the way through Macross 7 right now, it's alright. I don't think it's as godawful as some people have made it out to be, but it's definitely out there. Way out there.

My god. You people must be different members then.

Cause I remember when that happened we all just went "Oh..congradulations". But privately that shit was BEYOND WEIRD.

That dude was what, in his late 20s. And she was a clearly damaged woman entering her 20s.

If we acted nice about it, we are going to hell. Then again at that time if you said ANYTHING critical it just became a huge argument.

I can see where you coming from Sharp. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the whole Tony and Beth creep-a-thon, but I do remember that Tony was like 29-30ish and Beth was 18ish, and that's pushing it.

Indeed. I remember when X offered up some constructive pointers on one of Beth's pictures, Tony hit all caps to unleash the fury, never mind the fact that X was right.

Speaking of old members, I need to find out what happened to my friend Gato Girl, who was a real trooper in having meet Vic "I make shit up" Mignogna and coming back in one piece.

It's been a damn long while since I posted on PCF or its next incarnation. So I forget if you're a dude who was there through all of it.

But the forum seemed to just have a huge bias against X. They collectively seemed to want him dead or something. I'm not even sure why.

I still talk to Shaoblane, Umino, and Mr. saturn on adaily basis. Well not so much Liz. Umino is in Art College and Mr. Saturn is still being a pimp. I went to Michigan Sate majored in Climatology and minored in physics.

Apparently Jesse isn't as weird as he used to be.

Haven't seen Zola.

And I still talk and play games with Mistress Samwise.

I know a whole lot of the hate from certain people was because of his attitude, and despite his points being very well argued in every case, and most often being correct in factual matters, I remember him ignoring opinions contrary to his own.

The execution of his robuts were fun to see and use.

I didn't hate X at all. I kind of agree that he was a bit irritating at times, but I thought that was ok. It was part of what made him interesting.

I think the main reason people didn't like X was that, especially in the MFL, he sometimes he sometimes came off as "You're not me, therefore you're wrong."

But that guy Seraphim. He was really an asshole.

I kinda remember Seraph. But not any details.

What ever happened to CR Foxhound and DoD (Dominus of Death)? I've been wondering on that.

I'd throw Rev/Reki/whatever-you-might-know-her-as into that question as well, but I have her number.

His wife: Well nobody forced you into marriage. Your husbands a freakjob and your constant "Well AS A WICCAN" shit made you sound like a 14 year old

Thats ringing a bell, yeah. People gradually went from the obligatory congradulations to "Wait...theres a COUPLE OF THINGS weird about this.." then to some outright questions, and then he went "UH GROW UP I HAVE TO..UH...BYE"

Redo? How...wait, same writer or different one?

If it's the same guy (cannot remember his name, Chiaki...Yu..Ya....something with a Y) then hell just give him the third season he supposedly had 'planned out'.

A totally different writer would probably just defeat the point...then again I remember we pretty recently had it out with me criticizing a hell of a lot of stuff from season 2 so maybe somebody else wouldn't be a half-bad idea.

Not that it'd ever happen anyway. But if such a thing did occur, they'd have to keep that sorta retro-future '40s/batman:the animated series look to the show though because I'll be honest that was always my favorite part of it.

Even now, for all I may retroactively nitpick or find fault with the plot. It had a really nice look to it.

Ever wonder how many hungry people those tomatoes that got mailed down to Atlanta could maybe have fed?

(Or did that ever even end up happening..how the hell did they plan the tomatoes to show up and NOT be smashed or rotted or..yeah by the time they shipped their mass quantity of symbolic produce to cartoon network, they'd just see a bunch of boxes filled with compost and go "Hahaha what.". it would just be a lot easier if someone went down to Atalanta, bought a few tomatoes and then went into the office of mike lazo and threw the tomatoes at him and called him an anime hater.
shortly followed by that person being thrown out of the building and getting arrested.

Honestly just go steal the 7' tall Big O in the building. No one there would miss it.

For one, it's super cheap to produce (if they even pay those costs), especially compared to an animated show like The Big O. Plus, the ratings are probably comparable.

I would love to see what the ratings for Tim and Eric and it's various spin offs manage to draw, even on AS, I've hardly ever seen it make top 3, if at all.

They usually air a bump (black cards with white text) with the previous weeks top three shows. I can't say I remember ever seeing a Tim & Eric show making the list, but it's probably more about ratings per cost, rather than just ratings, but I don't work in television, so I could be completely off.

Well AS has been known to "alter" their ratings, and in fact did so when Turner wanted to buy Code Geass and air it on AS. Turner did their own private investigation of the Anime ratings on AS, after they [AS] said it wasn't worth the ratings, and told them "You're putting this on the air".

So if people want to believe the Family Guy ratings and such that are publicly airing on AS bumpers... that's their own fault.

For Saturday, I typically see...what the hell do I see...Bleach...I don't even know what's on on Saturday anymore. Bebop's probably on there.

Family Guy and King of the Hill are always on there...
But I've never heard anyone say (and mean it) that they like Tim & Eric.

Wow, time really flies.

I locked myself out of my old account for some reason, so I made this one 2 and 1/2 years later. I don't go on forums ever, except I lurk this one every 18 months for about a minute.

I used to post as Cerpin Taxt/Travis Bickle/a bunch of other names. I've lived and worked in Brooklyn for the past year. Life is good. Really low key.

Now that we're all years older and (hopefully) more mature, I'd like to take this time to apologize to anyone I've ever caused grief, aggravation or anything negative, really. I know it sounds like some AA bullshit, but whatever.

Hope all is well.

Actually at them time I think Tony was like 34-37 and Beth was like a year or 2 older than I was. I'm fairly certain there was a 10-15 year age difference.

As much as it will sadden people, I am still alive.

And here I am making a return! I saw R. Dan on on Facebook and went "Oh yeah, I've been so caught up in stuff that I forgot about CoA!"
Really, I'm busy with conventions all over the country, including helping run A&G Ohio, plus school, and cleaning up for my girlfriend to come over and spend her Thanksgiving break with me.

I still check back every week or two. I'm amused that you associate me with this forum.

I'm happy for you Char.

I remember you! Well, I remember you and I remember your AIM ID. We used to work together on SBO stuff (well, by "work on" I mean "plan and execute with the precision of KGB agents"). Good times.

Wait really? Refresh my memory.

The founder and leader of SBO was an aspie. I think that just about sums up our old site in a nutshell.

EDIT:
This made me take a walk down memory lane and do some googling... Tifaria was SneakyKitty? I communicated with them as if they were two different people.

SneakyKitty sent me a Christmas card in 2006. Then she suddenly went silent.

Whatever happened to Zola anyway? The sites still up and has been that way for years. It's like do something already. I miss the fan stuff from that site. Least it was entertaining.
