Title: Re: Bleach fans rage over Nick Simmons Manga. Post by: Brooklyn Luckfield on February 26, 2010, 05:33:37 AM meh. not like this sorta thing has never happened before. Indeed. I think the think that gets to me is the fact that the hardcore Bleach fans actually think he's going to lose huge sums of money over this. The only thing I see is his having to pay a small fine and maybe a slap on the wrist. The creator of Bleach, Kubo, knows about it and judging by this twitter, he doesn't really even care. The American comic industry seriously needs to stop with the manga like nonsense. I mean, don't get me wrong, if people want to make their own manga more power to them, but damn, at least make it original and non-traced from other things on the market least of all mega popular things such as bleach with a a huge Weeb fanbase. Title: Re: Bleach fans rage over Nick Simmons Manga. Post by: EyeOfPain on March 01, 2010, 07:17:43 AM Edit: On second though, It just bleach. Also the WDF (Weeaboo Defense Force) is in full force over this, because Bleach is serious stuff. Simmons supposedly ripped off a few other artists, but BLEACH is definitely getting all the attention. Title: Re: Bleach fans rage over Nick Simmons Manga. Of all the things he choose to rip off, Bleach is an odd choice, given it has a huge fan base so it would get noticed pretty quick, although apparently people have know about it for months but are just now making a huge deal over it. Should be interesting to see what happens legally, although I'm pretty sure he's gonna get a small slap on the wrist and maybe a small fine. ...wait people care about Simmons' son? -_- Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Post by: Professor Vogler on March 02, 2010, 10:35:45 PM There used to be a story in there, a rather good mindscrew of a plot. But then they decided "let's make this series four times longer than it really needs to be". Then the DBZing began.
Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Post by: Wazpy on March 04, 2010, 12:29:26 PM I find this hilarious because Gene Simmons is "Mr. I'm so edgy! I'll corrupt children!" Then his son plagiarizes Bleach, which is probably the geekiest, most pansy thing you can do right now. No offense to Bleach fans (Well... maybe a little, since I don't like it), but it's the symbol of dorky high school outcasts right now.
So there you have it. KISS will turn your kids into nerds. Maybe they should set some of their stuff to AMV's. Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Post by: Yuko-san on March 05, 2010, 08:18:15 PM Maybe they should set some of their stuff to AMV's. That's been happening for a while now. But it's anime and Kizz fans doing it, not the band itself. Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Post by: Sharpshooter005 on March 07, 2010, 02:43:35 PM I thought gene simmons' current thing was to walk around being the smuggest jackass ever to walk the earth, and constantly go "I'm incredibly rich and have had lots of sex, I am marketing in the form of a mortal"
Or thats, like, every appearance I've ever seen him make. Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." But it's anime and Kizz fans doing it, not the band itself. I don't mind Bleach...well...okay, I didn't watch much past after Rukia got freed and those guys disappeared in the big tear in the sky. Don't know how that ended. Kindof interested. Everything that doesn't revolve around that probably doesn't matter. Hell, they could have ended the show with freeing Rukia. Learn from Shows like Gundam, Bebop, Big-O, etc: You can have an ending and still kick ass. Title: Re: Bleach/Nick Simmons LULZ. *Update: "Gaiz, itz totally a homage." Post by: Yuko-san on March 08, 2010, 03:34:24 PM Except Big O's ending is a mind fuck, and Bebop is sort of a downer ending.
I only just recently got my mind around part of the ending of Big O. Still trying to understand the rest. Did anyone else think it ended in a Freudian type of way? Also last episode of bleach I saw was episode 25. Rukia got kidnapped? I've read up to the point where the main dude becomes part hollow. Can you has more apt thread for this kind of thing? Keep in mind, if enough people took this clarion call seriously, you'd be opening up a veritable can of worms. And I'd certainly contribute one of my own. Title: Re: Bleach fans rage over Nick Simmons Manga. Post by: Sharpshooter005 on May 01, 2010, 08:50:55 PM Does Freudian mean "we ran out of ideas, and probably didn't ever intend on a second season in the first place"
