Title: Survive the new year! Post by: Yuko-san on January 02, 2011, 01:06:54 PM Why did no one start this topic before me? Cyanide and Happiness comic is the reason for the title.
So did you make new years resolutions? If so what? As for me, I never make a resolution. I only make plans which I intend to keep. A resolution IMO is just a back thought you want to get outta the way. So I just make plans on a monthly basis. Only plan I made so far this year is lose 5 pounds. So what are you planning on doing? Sorry, Yuko, I guess we're all still trying to figure out if we survived... :-\ Just kidding. I kept busy on New Years Eve, until we went out to celebrate New Years that evening. Then, New Years Day, we slept in, watched the Rose Parade, and went to visit family. Today, we slept in (see a pattern here?), and went to church mid-day. I intended to write something here when I got back, but was delayed by some bad news when returning home - a close relative of mine passed away suddenly today. Up until then, my Christmas/New Years was awesome. I think, after some time of course, I will still consider this Christmas/New Years awesome, just not the after-New Years. :( I have a few New Years resolutions: 1) This year, I bring any poison ivy around my garden to it's knees. Last year, I could only plant a small plot below my garden with tomatoes. This year, I would like to plant a nice garden, including some green beans from an uncle of mine... 2) I (really) want to go back to my gym. Last year, the shortcut to the gym was blocked by a bridge reconstruction project, that lasted from Summer to the end of last November. Also, the alternate route was too long, too congested, and really annoying. 3) My doctor said I need to loose around 5 more pounds, so I'll give that a try. 4) My current car has been so cool, but I really need a new car. Title: Re: Survive the new year! Post by: EyeOfPain on January 03, 2011, 02:54:33 PM Had a really fun time at my buddies family's house. Lots of whiskey and some other substances were involved.
No real resolutions, but I've got a harmonica a bought a few years ago, and was thinking I might finally try learning a musical instrument. Hope everyone else is having a great new year. |
