Sounds cool Char. I wish I had more time/friends to devote to gaming... (I kind of miss the semi-weekly Nuclear War card games my friends used to have. - Every cruise missile I turned up would be announced as "Yes, ladies and gentleman, it's time for a little NUCLEAR HOT-POTATO"! Place it at the player next to you. It moves to a new person with each of your turns. At any time during your turn, you can say if it goes "BOOM!")

Michael McConnohie, Richard Epcar, & "Master Chief" (Steve Downes)?!? Dude, that's going to be cool! Have fun!

I didn't want to wait to long to post about my visit to last weekend's Steele City Con in Monroeville, PA. Unfortunately, I was only an attendee with all the rights (or lack of) therein. A minor oversight made me miss possibly meeting Anthony Daniels (C-3PO's voice) - he was only there Saturday. Billy Dee Williams (Lando) and his son Corey Dee Williams (Klaatu, but without makeup, looked like a young Lando) were there, but I only wanted Billy's autograph, and I was warned that he "did not look happy". So, I wandered aimlessly. I bought one collectible (fair price), won nothing (as usual), and got a free item coupon for the Monroeville Mall's collectible shop. They were clearing out old Star Trek merchandise, and I got a free Chris Pine Captain Kirk!

I got two cellphone pictures, but as usual, no time to post. Check back here, though, I might soon post them...

I started a book about Microsoft C#, but didn't do any programming examples yet (I have the limited "learning" version of the Microsoft C# compiler downloaded).

If comic books count, I read all of "Transformers: Defiance" on the flight up to my in-laws for Christmas, and then a little of "Transformers: Alliance" after. I'm trying to "fill in" details not covered in the movies. I think they could have included more "canon" material, without diminishing it's "mainstream" popularity.

It's been a while since I read some Asimov. It was mostly the short stories: The Last Question, The Feeling of Power, The Ugly Little Boy, etc... I enjoyed the films "Bicentennial Man" and "I Robot" (even though Asimov disapproved of the "I Robot" screenplay). I've seen "AI" recently, and found something Asimovesque about the film, even though I didn't totally enjoy it.

Unfortunately, a lot of my private reading has taken a back seat to my reading of C++ books (including cplusplus.com) and technical manuals for the new development projects at work. Hey, it's just like college again! But seriously, I do still enjoy reading for fun...

Yawn... Sorry, I'm here... I haven't gotten many opportunities to login recently, with plenty to do at home and work (no school, but I'm learning about programming new applications at work, and it includes "homework", and reviewing C++).

Hmmm, I thought the only "gross-out" stuff in underworld would be horror-type stuff. Are you talking about another type of gross-out, like gross-out humor, or just something really weird? No need to elaborate if it was too gross...

As I expected, I missed the Phantom Menace 3D "field trip". However, according to my brother-in-law, except for the Darth Maul 3D glasses, it didn't seem worth the money (not scene-wise).

I haven't checked out any anime in a while, but I'm watching subbed episodes of "Transformers: Masterforce" (27 of 43), interspersed with new episodes of "Transformers: Prime" from The Hub (which is basically "The Hasbro Channel"). Sort of an anthropology lesson via cartoons, complete with actual translations of some lines (Example: Line translated as "I'll take it to heart" was literally "it is etched into my liver"?!? Fortunately, not all translations are that weird...)

Back on topic, it's still very likely that Captain America will be the next movie I see (rental), hopefully before The Avengers hits theaters... We also got some free rental credits from our TV service, so we might see what's good on there (maybe I'll find the Captain on there?). Take care...

I need to, but I changed from robotics to programming as my major. Which will make it easier to program it I guess. I can build small robots but I'll definitely need help. Like making a body chase for the animatron to fit in. I'll get started on the programming when my school work load lightens up.

Gah! Where the hell are you people?

Anyway went to an anime insomnia meeting tonight with a friend. And watched Durarara!, Revolutionary girl Utena, and Ika Masume the squid girl. Last one made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to need oxygen. At the same time I thought I was going to end up seeing hentai through the whole thing. Surprisingly none was present.

I finally mastered the anthropology! And gained time to game, so decided to knock some games off my must play list. Started Persona 3 FES. It's great, except for Fuuka's voice. It's like whoever did her was half dead and showed little emotion. Aegis actually shows more, and she starts as an emotionless character.
