The OAV's good in that it is way, way more like the manga than the anime ever was. It really comes alive in the action scenes, too! The animation's clearly better, although I do sorely miss the music... ;__;

And thanks Mistress, I'd like to watch the OVA when I can but I need to finish the manga and the first series too. I haven't seen all of it, even though I saw like... the last five minutes of the last episode. And yeah, the music in the first series was damn good actually.

Watched some. Was mindlessly thrilled at the utter amounts of nonsensically gory vampire violence. I am so marking this on my to watch list.
