The first episode has literally nothing to do with the rest of the series. The first episode is all cutesy and crap, then BAM!-- lolis be putting needles in your meatballs.

I don't think it was a good idea to eat pizza and watch an old lady get tasered and whipped by shion (or mion, i still don't know). The part that that really freaked me out was the whole nailing ripping episode, i could fell my fingers so bad...  |

I have it memorized for future reference. |

So I'm watching the second season and becoming even further confused. Also, I forgot to mention that Keiichi and Rena having a swordfight between a cleaver and an aluminum baseball bat on the roof of a school is amazingly hilarious.

I watched for the same reason I watched Reservoir Dogs, cause it's badass. Not that i'm comparing Higurashi to Reservoir Dogs in anyway. I just like anime that aren't simply about the cliched romance, and so Higurashi filled that void for a few months. Now in retrospect the show wasn't all THAT great. Second season was considerably worse, and the third season will countinue to degenerate until we have ourselves another victim of sequelitis. |
