I'm not kidding! It really is a full-scale RX-78-2 in full detail! My head exploded with happy when I saw it!

And I was at a loss for words. I'm waiting for the thing to just start walking one day, knowing Japan.

Anyway, it's to commemorate 30 years of Gundam and apparently has some relation to Green Japan. So yeah, if you happen to be on Odaiba anytime, go have a look and bring pictures.

Odaiba Gundam Video
Note the video too. There were multiple ones, but I liked this one. There was also one of it as seen from the train nearby.

Check the vid too. When I saw it moving, and watched some of the other vids, I about died of happiness.

And thanks for fixing my extra post.

So have we all decided which side we'll be joining once the robotic war begins?

As soon as I get my megadeus I'm turning Japanese.

I'll hold off until they build the one that carries a nuke.

So... in something almost related. America now has it's own giant robot... and it can actually do sit ups.

18ft of American ingenuity at its...rustiest.

To my shock, and pleasure, a commentor has mentioned "Big O".
"Shockwave: [...]I'm more for the Big O style myself, but, thats not really feasable[...]"

Not quite as glamorous as the Japanese mobile suit, but it actually "works" to a further extent than the mobile suit.

That...looks like the neogentronyx project I used to follow. It was originally built by a crew in Alaska, but they got so far and it hardly functioned without the scaffolding holding it up, so they put it up on e-bay, with the intention of using the money they made to start it over.

That was a few years ago. I haven't been to the site recently.

*looks at the words on the article* that IS the neogentronyx project! I've actually talked to Carlos before. Somewhere in my gmail account hides some e-mails that he and I have exchanged.

Actual name of that exosuit: NMX04-1A

When I saw that they put it on e-bay, I quit going to the site. But I just went there and apparently NMX04-1A isn't the only thing he's working on...

http://www.neogentronyx.com

In other news, I've also heard that someone is working on a battlemech.

So, Japan has Gundam. US has battlemech. Mobility vs firepower. The rest of the world...I have no idea what they have, if they have anything. I heard that if anyone else got involved, England would try to make something like the Titan from WH40k.

The red suit cannot walk, however. Therefore, I am not impressed.

There is also a life-sized VOTOMS suit, but nobody has watched Votoms.

Oooo. Pretty.

The first NeoGen suit took baby steps, and the new one isn't near the walking phase yet, especially since Carlos has been devoting his time to his Sky Bike.
