Does anyone have the original copy of Brick Ballads, I can’t find the CD to buy anymore and the one from the second season while similar is not exactly what I want. I’m trying to transcribe the music and while the sax part is very similar the Piano part I believe is slightly different. The best version I could find was in episodes 3 but not exactly what I would like. If anyone has it or knows where I could get it, it would be much appreciated.

He's referring to the bluesy theme that plays during montages of Paradigm City.

Oh that song(s)?
Their actual names are:
Sleep my dear (track 13)
Weep for (16)
Tears (20)

they are all on the original sound track. I had never heard them called brick ballades before. You can get the original soundtrack on ebay for about $20 new and $15 used.

As to the songs that play during season 2 I have absolutely no clue what their names are. I have the season 2 sound track, but the case and booklet are entirely Japanese, and I am only just learning to speak/read/write it. Guess that's what happens when you import the soundtracks from Japan.

It is true that I am referring to the bluesy theme, but only the version with the piano and saxophone. Of the three 'Sleep my dear' is the correct song, but features only piano and maybe strings. The other two are cool pieces as well but not the song i'm looking for. I own two of the Soundtracks, on the second track there is a song called 'Brick Ballades ~ Houston St.' This is the closest version I can find, but it is a ''remake" so to speak and has different chords and slightly different phrases. There was an album called "Walking Together on the Yellow Brick Road."

According to http://kiserai.net/bigo/ -

"INTERMISSION: WALKING TOGETHER ON THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Shortly after the first season was completed in Japan, a "special episode" of The Big-O was released as a Drama Theater CD. It involves Roger, Dorothy, Norman, Dastun, and Angel all in Roger's place discussing memories and the like. It's unsure as to whether it is meant to be placed into the series as an actual episode, or if it's just a special "what-if" scenario. At any rate, it touches on a few themes that are explored further during season 2, and there is an English translation available at Writer-in-Chief Chiaki J. Konaka's website. Give it a read.

I have the actual CD. It's pretty cool, but probably not worth it if you can't understand Japanese. In addition to the special episode, it has two other songs not found on any other soundtrack CD's: the original mix of "Brick Ballades" and "The Holy Remix.""

That is the cd/song I am looking for and I have been searching for years to no avail.

What? No. The track is literally called "Brick Ballades".

I have the audio drama CD. As far as I am aware... the "Houston St." track from the 2nd OST is the same "Brick Ballades" as on the Audio Drama CD. Maybe I'll have to cue both tracks together in Audacity or something to see if there are differences.

((Just checked, they are the same progression and same everything else... except... it's a different take. Two different takes of the same song.))

Additionally, the Audio Drama was meant to be a bridge between Seasons 1 + 2. It takes place either after the fight in Act13/14 or before R.D. and is meant to act as a sort of "filler ending". This is why Dastun knows Big O's name in Act14 onward.

If you search the Paradigm City Forums archive someone long ago posted a PDF of a translation to the audio drama. It's nearly perfect except sometimes there are a few added lines of dialogue in the scripts, and other times a few missing lines.
