Six years ago, a horrific event transpired that claimed the lives of thousands of people. It marred one of our country's most prominent cities and made children orphans, men and women widowers and widows. It caused untold grief, horrible pain, strife and suffering. It was something that we can never be allowed to forget.

Much like Pearl Harbor, the World Trade Center attacks were a vicious declaration of war, and a realization that our own complacence had allowed for such an event to happen. We can never forget; we can never allow something like it to happen again.

Responses to this thread aren't necessary, but feel free to. I merely felt the desire to point out, on this day, what we as citizens of the United States, and what we as citizens of the world must never again allow to come to pass.

I don't really watch TV, Gal. I watch a couple shows a week and that's it.

A whole ton on it here. Every station spent the whole morning showing the memorial service, where they recite the names of everyone who died.

We had a chance to start a trend of ´bomb us and we will nuke you twice very soon´ but didn´t, and thats no good.

Horrible, horrible day, my fingers still ache in memory of that night.

I remember on that day, or the day after, some dickwad called a bomb threat in to the Empire State Building. How he wasn't dragged out into the street, drawn and quartered amazes me.

What pisses me off almost as much as the actual attack is the way our country managed to, in about one year, completely squander all the sympathy and goodwill of the rest of the entire world.

Whats great is how the conspiracy theories still persist.

Dear 9/11 'truth' movement. Even the voices in your head are starting to worry for your grasp on reality.
