Hi. I'm probably forgotten by now, but I just wanted to stop in and say hi. Life is good.

I too have reserved this name and such, and subsequently changed my password so I could never use it again. But enjoy life. I know I am.

gonna mull it over

Cerpin, you are far from forgotten. I have you quoted at the old PCF in my siggy.

"For an otaku, you look incredibly badass."

If you're playing at home with a widescreen monitor, congrats.

Hey everyone. I decided that, in order to properly leave, I might as well give an explanation for...well...I guess 3-4 years of abuse, neglect, randomness, creepy actions, hilarious antics and my overall love for a golden head on a plate and Motilliata.

I kind of left in november because, for three/four years, I was attracted to the idea of mass information (ie. the internet) and forums and such. Since PCF was my first time belonging to a forum, I really had no idea how to handle myself and such. So yeah. When I first signed up, what my friends and I would do during lunch in high school on our spare time is go into Yahoo Word Racer (the best web game ever made, look it up) and spam/troll the chat lobbies. Boring, right? Well, it was funny at the time, and at that time I discovered PCF. So, during lunches at high school, I split it between PCF and that.

So I grew up sort of and stopped doing all of that and went off to college and pissed a bunch of people off. I'm not really that cool or anything. I mean, I am, but not like the average name dropping, pot smoking, guitar playing, rock loving suburbanite douchebag. I mean, I put on this facade, you see. It's really cool, the anonymity of the internet. You should treasure it. But, I mean, sometimes you get so caught up in it that it consumes you.

Suffice to say, as you may have been able to tell, my mental health (for some inane reason, I wonder) was kind of deteriorating, so, I mean, I needed to get off the forums and actually live life. And, yes, that included heavy drinking, drug intake, and I had a girlfriend for several months (still do). I also wrote a book, which I'm in the middle of trying to get published.

Anyway, the point is, I'm an asshole and I'm not really proud of it. So, with that said, sorry GK and Corey for all the chaos and such that is a direct result of my actions and is my fault. Sorry Coleman, even though I think you're a horrible liar and such, for calling you out and making you feel bad. Sorry SaveBigO crew for adding fuel to the fire. TDOTOL, well...they're kind of like me, only they don't seem to have the vague notion of a life off of the internet, y'knowwhatimean? Sorry Krang and Shredder for also causing you guys chaos and being a bit too personal or whatever. I mean, you guys are awesome, for letting us all come together and share memories (ha) and stories and awkward internet sightings and such, for free even. I mean, who would do such a nice thing like that? They would.

Sorry for anyone I've also negatively affected. I hope that you seek peace elsewhere other than this place or the internet. Pretty much, the gist of what I'm trying to say is that you can't seek solace in an anime forum. You can't express any sort of actual real emotion on a web forum other than these emoticons :-/. I've been kind of adopting the ideas of neo-luddism and such and am sort of opposed to man's technological evolution, because it sort of dehumanizes us, y'know. It keeps us away from real, genuine human beings with real, genuine feelings.

Anyway, the main idea is to get off the internet as much as you can and experience real conversations with real people other than people with cute screennames like spoonyspoonthingy or whatever. The internet doesn't teach you social skills. It actually puts a damper on them. I learned this firsthand, and you probably will (hopefully) learn the same in the near future. If you want to contact me, my email is below, or you can IM me at ByTheGallons on AIM. Other than that, I'm gonna get out of this place for my own good and for the good of others.

Oh, and the Big O was a decent show. It wasn't amazing. I liked the last part of the first season and the entire second season better. The first season is too fast paced and I think the story is told kind of poorly. But, that's the way I feel about most anime. And making a third season wouldn't solve anything. It would just jump the shark, really, and nobody in the right mind wants that.

-Scott

PS: Almasy and I now go to the same school, and SpoonySpoonthingy and I will soon sort of live 30 minutes away from each other, so another thing that's good to avoid is blurring the line between the internet and real life. Just throwing that out there.

...

Interesting.

My social life outside the internet is fine. And for your goodbye post, you make a page stretcher post that is quite irritating.

Couldn't leave without a final kick to the shins?

I prefer my social life online because there's too much drama in a small town, and small towns suck anyway. Well, this one does. it's the middle of hick-ville.

Besides, I'm finding that I can contact some people that are in my computer without actually using my computer, like when I call Rev.
