R. Daniel,
Yes, actually I have 3 letters typed. Pardon the delay, but my programming class's 1st exam really came up in a hurry. I think I've got a good draft. I'll print it out on the original word processor (that being pen and paper), and send it off to you. I hope it's brief, but effective.

Yeah, I was getting dismayed, wondering why the most enthusiastic contributor hadn't said anything for so long. If you want send a letter, just look at the first post of the first page! Most of the work has been done for you.

OK, R. Daniel, I wrote the letter last night, and dropped it into the mail bin at work this morning. You should see it shortly. It's not that brief , but think I put together a very professional e-mail. I guess we'll see... S. D., Cartoon Network, with all its connections and fans would be difficult to "hurt", but I have a strategy along the same lines. Show them how The Big O could "help" them (again). I will be sending in a Wendy's receipt sometime soon, with a note saying I saw their ad during The Big O. Also, I forgot, I bought my wife a Dairy Queen cake for her birthday, and that was another sponsor of The Big O. You can find other items here on this forum. Unfortunately, the tape I used had only 2.25 (one partial recording) Big O episodes on it, so I could only gather ads from them. However, I know I've seen the same ads more than once. Why do I say it's along the same lines? Because the "hurt" is implied: No Big O -> Final Negotiator doesn't watch -> Final Negotiator doesn't see ads -> sponsors stop paying for ads on CN -> "hurt" Big O -> Final Negotiator watches commercials -> buys stuff -> sponsors gladly buy ad space on CN -> "help" OK, now multiply this times the number of Big O fans still out there... Sounds effective, huh? It's not 100% guaranteed, but few things in life are. OK, "War" is taken, "Peace" is taken. How about... Balance of Terror? .The Final Negotiator.

I like your outlook and approach very much, Final Negotiator. Taking a positive approach protects us in so many ways.
But for the important news--I got your letter! Your handwriting is decent, but please, if you handwrite someone a respectable letter, stationery is a MUST.
Also... this isn't important, but I like the stamp. It's pretty, like stained glass.
If you want send a letter, just look at the first post of the first page! Most of the work has been done for you.

I had to look it up. They're "Louis Comfort Tiffany" commemorative stamps. My wife picked these up on her last trip to the Post Office. Very cool! The "early automobiles" stamps were nice, too, but they stopped making those. Will do about the stationary for future handwritten letters, even if I need to have a publishing application "create" some. I may use one of the premade letters next time. By the way, my wife wanted to stop in Wendy's, so now I've got two receipts, totalling $13.98. Some may question this tactic, but I figure DVD purchases are one-time purchases, but sponsor money is continuous, so long as ads produce results.

Just buy some stationery at a local store. No crazy software required.

Oh, I just meant the "Stationery" feature that you see in some programs. You give it an image and voila, instant stationery with your image as a watermark. I think you can even add your name and address to it, to give it that "professional" look. However, I could probably go up the street and buy stationery in the same amount of time... So how many new letters have you gotten? Many sounded interested in your letter drive, so I'm hoping that words became actions... .The Final Negotiator.

Galatea and "Deathjam" both showed interest, but nothing came from them.
We've got but fifteen. If I had money to throw towards a Something Awful membership, I'd start gathering support there and I'm sure we'd get a handful more. Also, if I wanted to sully my toes with a dip into 4chan, there might be some more supporters from there.
But barring those, I think I'm just gonna send them off by, shall we say, November 14th.

45 letters supporting Big O is not bad at all. Galatea is in the "Land Downunder", so a letter from her may take a while to get to you... Hopefully, with all the guests and "reads" this forum has been getting, we've already gotten a visitor or two from Something Awful and/or 4chan.

Yeah but, that they would spontaneously just start directing others here and do our work for us? I really wish it worked that way.
Not 45 letters. 15. Heh. 45 letters wouldn't be bad at all, I agree.
Galatea, are the you one who visits 4chan without any pangs of guilt? If so, do tell if you'd be willing to plug.
And is there anyone here who a) doesn't scorn Something Awful and b) has a membership there?

I find the fact that we would turn to /b/ for aid somewhat disheartening. War.

The chance to get supporters from 4chan < the chance to get spammers and trolls from 4chan.
Please don't bring that nonsense here, if you'd be so kind.

f I had money to throw towards a Something Awful membership, I'd start gathering support there ...You've never actually read somethingawful have you No really, part of me just wants to sit back and watch that idea hit its inevitable, painful, hilarious conclusion. The other part of me just feels obligated to say theres a point where desperation becomes delusion, and that lines now about five miles back.
