Episode 8 onward... you have to plow through episodes 8 through 11 in one go. Otherwise bad things will happen. Trust me, there is no filler after Episode 7. As for the Squirtle reference.... yes, I saw a rather GAR picture of that on Facebook. Took my friends a while to figure that our on their own. Also http://www.gurren-lagann-movie.net/tokyoanime/index.htmlTRANSLATION IS NEEDED NOW!! O_O MUST... READ...... OT--HER..... LANGUAGE.....!!...! (Krang? You there >_> I need a favor ^.^;; )

Yeah, I'm on 15 or 16 now, whichever is the one where the youtube episode frequency starts to die out, and theres a 20 second audio lag.
... I guess I'll have to wait or something.

*cough* Check your PMs *cough* Also, according to Wikipedia, the first movie " Movie Version Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren Chapter" will encompass "the first arc" (which I think is really 2 arcs) from Eps 1 to 15. So basically...AWESOME.

I feel almost ashamed I JUST finished Gurren Lagann today. I started it yesterday, finished it in one day. The verdict? What is there left to say about Gurren Lagann that has not yet been said before? No amount of praise I give this anime will even come close to the amount it deserves. Gurren Lagann is the epitome of everything good about anime that has ever existed, and will ever exist. No anime before it has reached the same level of raw action, endless entertainment, deep characters, profound motifs, and burning emotions. Very rarely does an anime come along that not only lives up to the hype, but exceeds expectations and pierces the heavens. Gurren Lagann embodies something that is more than just special, or outstanding. Gurren Lagann is more than just a fun ride. No, Gurren Lagann may be the most outstanding visual masterpiece that has graced this rocky planet Earth since its creation. Gurren Lagann has the ability to mend broken hearts, and revive fallen souls, it can give hope to the hopeless, and give provisions to the needy. There was once darkness, but with Gurren Lagann, there is light. I admit I am going a bit too far, but in all honesty the show deserves that amount of praise for what its worth.
In conclusion Gurren Lagann is the shit.

That made me lmao. Also, you are very correct. Additionally... still no word on when ADV Films is going to release the English dub of Gurren-Lagann. Which makes me a sad panda. But the movie is still being hyped, which should surely make me cry manly tears. sldo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLMRtoeoPoU

still no word on when ADV Films is going to release the English dub of Gurren-Lagann. ADV lost the license to Bandai. Apparently the Japanese wanted their money, and though ADV was being to slow. ADV finished a dub for it but basically wouldn't let Bandai use it, so Bandai is doing a subbed only release until next year, when their new dub will be underway.

Someone asked how they managed to secure the rights to Gurren Lagann, but all Napton’s been told is that Aniplex and ADV “mutually” decided not to pursue the title together. I asked about the limited-edition bare bones with the Gurren Lagann OP, and it sounds like it might get pre-released a bit early at Anime Expo. No word on what’s going to be on the later editions, so don’t know if the CD will be included with it…but I’d guess so, judging by their Haruhi and Lucky Star releases. So it seems like both Aniplex and ADV "mutually" didn't pursue the title. That seems rather odd, with all the hype surrounding this release. Source: http://giapet.net/2008/05/17/acen08-bandai-entertainment/The first two episodes of Gurren Lagann are scheduled to air on Sci Fi on July 28 It's bandai's dub, which is done by Bang Zoom!. Kinda bummed they didn't give a high priority show like Gurren Lagann to Animaze. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-05-21/bei-yoshida-gurren-lagann-tv-plans-not-finalized

http://www.gurren-lagann-movie.net/gurrepala/interview/flash.htmlhttp://www.gurren-lagann-movie.net/gurrepala/flash.htmlWatch it, and be manly. I've no @#^$ing clue WHAT that flash is of, either a Season2 of TTGL or of an OVA or what, but it rocks out loud. I'm sad if it IS a trailer for a second season... personal preference dictates that I want more GAR. After more digging, the only thing I know for certain is the site is "Gurren Lagann Parallel Works"... with one of the trailers titled "Gurren Lagann Music Clip Project".

I'm going out on a limb here when I say this has potential to deliver just as much GAR as the original TTGL. Second season, OVA, movie, alternate reality, who cares, as soon as I heard "raw raw, fight the power," I was sold. But a sad voice in the back of my mind is telling me there is no way we're getting another season of TTGL. God is just not that loving. Not to mention, another season of Gurren Lagann would cause the Earth to explode from excessive GAR overload. This looks more like a music video though, accredited to the "Gurren Lagann Music Clip Project" Only time will tell, tch, at least there is the movie to look forward to.

Gainax is working on a Gurren Lagann movie, Guren-hen. Or was it two? To my knowledge there will be two. The first covers the first/second major plot arcs episodes 1-15 (basically fightin' da powah). The second movie covers (in an Evangelion-like fashion) the remaining episodes up to 27 (going into space and fightin' da powah). The only thing I have to say for the second movie is: "40%?!"
