When did shadows of the damned come out? I wanted to try the demo if they released one.

Came out June 21st. I'd say rent it if you have a place close by that rents games. The game is insanely short and in no way worth 60 bucks. It's a great game but hardly enough content to justify the price tag.

I wonder if the library rents games? I'm not paying blockbuster to rent games.

Still playing sims 3ds. I don't know how, but when she cooks cereal she sets herself on fire, twice. Nocturne, my sim, can set herself and the frig on fire just by getting cereal. She freaks out when 2 or more people are nearby, but she goes crazy and is happy when no one is around.

yeah, almost as bad as when my sister played her sims 2 game. she had me as a character, and I went crazy and made friends with a pink bunny and the burglar. Just a little sad.

Granted, it was a while ago, but I played a little Transformers 2007: Autobots DS. I found that, unlike with it's companion Decepticon game, my aim is better, as are my melee skills. Maybe it's all the positive encouragement from Ironhide, as opposed to the chastisement (and the kick to the shin - don't ask, it's in the game) from Barricade? Of course, I still like the Decepticons game because you can destroy stuff, and throw cars, Autobots, and other objects at Autobots.

Another challenge in Autobots is that, when the police show up, you must successfully escape them, instead of duking it out with them in Decepticons. It's still fun.

We also went to Dave & Busters earlier this week. I played some ticket games, including ski ball (didn't win much), some hoops (did better), and some lightning trivia (forgot Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears dated, so 1 wrong, but still won 20 tickets!). I also played the big Hyperbowl game, gunned down zombies in House of the Dead Parts III & IV (did better with III than IV, but my solo game still isn't as good as 2-player). We had a Power Card coupon, so I walked out $10 lighter, but with a substantial number of tickets for my wife and I (she's ~1500+, I'm ~2500+), and smiles on both our faces. Fun night...

Haunted Manor lord of Mirrors for ipod. It's and old mac game ported over, but I like horror puzzle games.

Poor gamer can only buy things when used. But I want to try that game.

Dead Rising 2. Must. Kill. Everything! Also you can kill zombies with pink dildos, of all the things. I wish they had a combo weapon with that and the tricycle (best joke weapon ever), it'd be more fun to kill zombies with.

BTW if you have dead rising 2, go to the second story of the royal flush plaza, go to the toy store, get on a trike, run over zombies, and ride trike down the stairs. Zombie bowling anyone?

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (PS3)

Half way decent for a movie based game. High Moon Studios, the War for Cybertron guys worked on this. It would also seem that Steven Blum is now the official voice of Starscream, which I admit has grown one me. From Spike to big name titles. Gotta hand it to Blum, but the majority of L.A based VA's have done so as well.

Sounds cool. Yeah, I got War for Cybertron, but, unfortunately, not much time to play it. I've played XBox TF: WFC at my brother-in-laws, and it's cool. I may get the DS versions just to get the Bumbleebee & Lockdown diecast cars.

Old school gaming. My brother-in-law brought over his Wii, with classic games on it. We played a little Double Dragon melee (I won). Couldn't get the two-player simultaneous play to work. I also played a little Mario 3.

Don't feel bad, Yuko, I've bought used games, too. In fact, I saw a used Robotech Nintendo game for sale a while ago (can't recall if it was Gameboy Advance or DS). I have an ancient PC version of Thexder (also has Robotech robot/jet), but I think this Nintendo game was a better game.

Only plays complete games, not ones based off cartoonish off shoots.

SMT:DS;Overclocked. Fun fun fun killing everything. Voice acting didn't improve it much, but they fixed combat issues and some game mechanic are improved.

My brother-in-law challenged my niece in "vs. mode" of New Super Mario Bros. DS. (I mistakenly thought they were going to play Mario Kart.) I, surprisingly, don't own any "Super Mario" game. So, while waiting for a turn, I played some more TF 2007: Autobots. There's a Decepticon at the end of the round that I just can't beat - I guess I need more practice...

Then, once I got my turn, my niece beat me in "vs. mode"... That's what I get for kicking her butt in Double Dragon vs. NES on Wii. Fun times...  Grin

Also, since it's technically a video game, I played the blackjack game at a casino on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. After a half hour, my $10 bucks was widdled down to $2.75, but I was amazed that I held on for so long. We were there for a birthday, and I also saw a really cool band there that were big Tom Petty fans.
