^I didn't think that movie would sell tickets period.
And I watched Coraline. First Tim Burton movie my sister could watch and not get nightmares. It is his usual standard of creepy, but not death.
Tim Burton gives me nightmares too But the nightmares are all, there he is getting a greenlight from the studio and I keep screaming "BUT WHY, WHY, HE PEAKED WITH NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, AND I GUESS ED WOOD. HE JUST KEEPS HITTING THE SAME EXACT CLICHED NOTES" But no matter how loud I yell, they can never hear. (Coraline was not a Tim Burton movie, it was Henry Selick who wrote/directed, Burton produced it probably cause Selick also directed nightmare) ...Actually not to hijack this thread on this tangent, but come to think of it I'm like 99% sure Burton only provided the outline for nightmare before christmas, then somebody else wrote it.

Oh and I watched Goodfellas the other day. Because I realized "Oh it's already August, and I haven't watched Goodfellas this year!". Its impossible for me to get sick of this movie, it's one of my absolute favorites.
edit: Title change because Nine has disappeared both from here and the undisclosed location I generally operate in, into the nightmarish aether of facebook
Pour your drinks onto the curb and have a moment of silence

Oh and I watched Goodfellas the other day. I know someone who likes Goodfellas. Because she likes Ray Liotta. Because he's Italian. the nightmarish aether of facebook Quoted for truth. God save Nine. The last movie I watched was probably Troll 2. Which is so utterly ensayne and lawlz and omfg st00pid, I cannot even describe it without risking making the forum theme peel. The first one was at least 6.34x better.

Hetalia episodes 1-25
So, I finally heard the massive popular Hetalia Dub. I've heard it called "edgy!" and a "Riot.
Well, it's neither. It's more or less a cheap South Park knock off. Unlike SP, with it's award winning satire, the Hetalia dub is a huge mish-mash of forced edgy jokes i.e Holocaust jokes, and the other ones are equally lame jokes based on said country i.e German makes jokes about Mein Kampf, and Japan talk "Rike dis in folced unfunny engrish." Given Funimation habit of putting out mediocre dubs overall, it's safe to say comedy is not a strong point of theirs. Then again, this is the same company that turned Sgt. Frog into a Family Guy style show.

Hetalia episodes 1-25 Wait, what? Does that qualify as a film? If it does, I could mention a whole bunch of other stuff I've been watching lately.

Ok then. I've been rewatching the Big O in Japanese without subtitles. My brain hurts, I speak Japanese, but most of it goes by too quick for me to hear correctly. I still get the jest of it though.

Just recently got through watching the final few eps of Trinity Blood.
I was dissatisfied. Badly. ...damn it, I want spoiler tags so I can rant properly!
Suffice it to say, nothing was explained, there were a good few bizarre events that only confused me more, and the ending was so vague and abstract it made me mad. There.
I wanted to know what a Crusnik was. ...damn, there's no angry smiley either!
This board has betrayed me! Arrrrghhhh! [ grows black wings and blood scythe ]

There are two series of novels, which expand on the universe, and supposed to be much better.
I recently re-watched The Thing myself. I've seen it so many times that I've begun finding the special effects hilarious, and that makes me sad.

I liked trinity blood because when the 12 year old pope showed up, I referred to him as "pontifex minimus" which I thought was good wordplay even though I'm sure the latins probably incorrect
And by "liked" I mean...the minute or so I was amused with coming up with that nickname was fun. Then the rest of it sucked and for some reason there was like a terminator fighting vampires (and it was not half as good as this sounds)
