i quit watching AS because they're bitches that run InuYasha so much that I never want to see it again unless they properly finish the series, because anyone that ever watched it knows how much bullshit the ending was. I know, it was like killing Connor McCloud so that Duncan could continue the movies without having to do a show...I forgot where I was going with this.

Anyway, I was watching Death Note, Bleach, and Code Geass. Then I missed a few episodes of Death Note at the end and they started the series over. At that point, I only watched about an hour and a half of TV a week watching those three shows. All other TV time went to my video games and DVDs. I have the first two DVDs of season 2...but I'm planning on having the box set soon...and if I'm lucky, I can find the soundtrack without having to go online. Someone hand me a d20 so I can do a luck check.

I rolled about a 4 on that one.

Oh, and yeah, I'm still around and living. I've just been glued to my video games...like Oblivion, FF VIII, and DMC3, with the occasional JSRF. Oh, and my new job at a bowling alley. Yay for bowling alley.

Anyway, case in point: I'll just wait until I can find a way to get Anime Network and a TV to hook it up to that doesn't have a console on it. I don't have any movie channels either, which blows. in fact, I have a lousy Direct TV package that is basically jack. Doesn't even have G4 as a channel. I'M MISSING NINJA WARRIOR AND UNBEATABLE BANZUKE!!!!! sorry, that makes me upset.

On a lighter note, I can occupy myself with .hack//sign and Banner of the Stars. Those were the last two box sets I bought. Then there's always the Apocolypse Now Complete Dossier that I also bought at the same time...

Gotta love AS amirite?

Inorite?

For some reason, I can't help but side with [as] to a small degree. They really should air some goddamn commercials for their anime.

Now that you mention it, I can't think of an instant in the past few months where they showed a commercial for anime. That and combined with AS's general dislike for anime in general, no wonder the ratings are so low.

Maybe they should air some adds, but they can't run too many, because then they're missing out on too much actual ad-revenue.

Don't hate the players, hate the game.

Comedy does pretty well as far as ratings go. I mean, it must, since the channel's about 80% comedy now. They could probably afford to cut back on a few of those ads.

They've been airing the Rukia/"Stand in awe" commercial lately, but I think that's about it, outside the occasional bump.

I don't mean they'd have to shave ads for their comedy, they could do that, sure.

I mean real ads from other companies that get them ad revenue.

I suppose there's no arguing that, Hobo. Television is a business, after all.

Half that stuff is more disgusting than comedic. Personally, I miss the good artwork. American artwork just isn't as good, or as well planned and thought out and executed. Is quality really SO much more expensive? Well, I suppose that answer is obvious...

I'm awestruck by how much you guy all know. It's impressive really, despite the Lazzo bashing bits. I didn't even know who he was, really.

Now Gaddes, did AS really say that? Not that it's false, but I didn't think they would be allowed to say that... el burro hablando de orejas

I can't say I ever remember seeing something like that. And I don't believe Lazzo has a blog or anything.

When you spend as much time on the [adult swim] message boards as I do, you start to pick up on some behind the scenes stuff.

However, with the recent move of Code Geass and Moribito to the 5 AM hour on Sunday mornings, the outlook for TBO feels worse than ever.

Yeah, it was one of their bumps about a month ago.

Although, honestly at the rate things are going, it won't be long before anime is off AS completely.

I feel bad for the anime-geeks who came of age just barely too late to get to the good stuff...

Some of you hate us due to Saturday changelings and are threateningy mutiny of the H.M.S. Swim.  While you're scoping other networks to date say hey to Seth Green for us. He'll be dropping in for cameos on Heroes and Earl before the new Robot Chicken in December.  When you'll be running home to us.

[adult swim]

AS continues the lulz. If they think that their anime fans are going to come running back from Sci-fi because of Family Guy with stop motion animation (Robot Chicken), then they are in for a rude awakening.

It seems Adult Swim did something right for a change.

11:00 - Robot Chicken (two episodes)
11:30 - Aqua Teen Hunger Force (two episodes)
12:00 - The Boondocks
12:30 - The Boondocks
1:00 - Bleach
1:30 - Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit
2:00 - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

2:30 - Shin-chan
3:00 - FLCL
3:30 - Death Note
4:00 - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
4:30 - Cowboy Bebop
5:00 - Big O
5:30 - Inuyasha

Big O's back on, that will bring back some memories, also Moribito is rerunning from episode 1, so you can catch up on it if you missed it.
