Does anyone have a pic of Big O using the triple Sudden Impact and the Gigadeus? Thanks in advance.

There's no such thing as the Triple Sudden Impact. Describe it.

You'll find most of the images you could ever want right here.

Au contrair...

Not in the anime, but in the manga... Volume 6... The Triple Piston arms!

Each arm has three pistons on it. Currently I've no scan of it, but there is definately a panel in Volume 6 of Big O using each Triple Piston.

As for the Gigadeus... I think this is the best picture a person can find of it. From one of the artbooks I reckon.

Each one of its three faces is a symbol of "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil". Each face is also the size of Big O's head. So the Gigadeus is amazingly larger than Big O. I've always heard that the Gigadeus was defeated by Big O, but I've not found any evidence of the actual fight aside from Roger's freaking out with Memories in Volume 5.

Hmm, I wish I would have read more of the Mangas.

So, if Megadeus stands for Great God, what does Gigadeus stand for?

Could there even be a possible Teradeus?

Has anyone ever noticed that Big O, kind of seems like it uses ideas from old Greek and Roman plays? Since I am currently studying that, I am starting to make the connections.

Can anybody tell me the quote that Vera states where she uses the word, 'Oedipus', when she fires the flares, and describe the meaning of what she is saying?

Oedipus, in Greek myth, was a man who killed his father, a king, and took the throne when he married his own mother.

I can't remember Vera's exact quote, but I'm certain she was referring to the attempt Alex made on Gordon Rosewater's life, and his desire to usurp his father as the new master of Paradigm City.

Found this at http://www.paradigm-city.com/.  Thanks Krang & Shredder!

Cut back to Angel. She is standing, dazed, and is startled to hear a man abruptly clear his throat. She turns and sees Gordon Rosewater sitting quietly at the wooden table, his straw hat lying on it. His eyes are closed. She smiles gently at the old man. "Gordon Rosewater. You are truly the king of Paradigm City, the city of deceptions." She has an almost fond look on her face.

Gordon seems to wake suddenly. "Hmmmm," he grunts. "Would you, unnn, hurry up and serve me that tomato stew? I'm really very hungry." He looks back down at the table.

Angel: "What are you saying?"

A door behind Angel suddenly starts to open, and the blonde woman turns towards it, gun drawn.

"Welcome home!" a female voice chirps. Angel's eyes open wide.

"My angel!" The speaker is Vera. She has survived the explosion in the tunnel. Her left eye is bandaged over entirely. However, there is no trace of the stomach wound from her duel with Gabriel.

Angel: "You!"

Vera laughs sarcastically, and says, "I guess there's no place like home. Your favorite line from your favorite book, wasn't it, Agent 340?"

Angel keeps her gun trained on the older woman. "Agent 12? Vera Ronstadt? YOU'RE supposed to be my mother?" Angel's voice is pained. "You must be joking!"

Vera approaches her. "WHAT is this city? The thought of this ridiculous room being here makes me laugh." She brushes past Angel.

Angel: "What are you talking about?"

Vera: "Look at this pathetic old man. That Oedipus-wannabe son of his even tried to kill him!"

Gordon looks up at Vera. "Wouldn't you say it's about time the tomato stew was ready?" he asks.

Vera ignores him. "Ah, I have to say that this city is SO lovely."

Gordon stands up and moves towards the stove. "Ummm, I'm so hungry," he groans. He reaches for the pot.

Vera glares at him and scowls. As he moves closer to the stove, softly moaning, "Tomato, tomato, tomato soup," a whip flashes past his hands. He shrieks and backs up.

Vera: "Father! Mind your manners!"

Angel gasps.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cut back to stage set. Gordon finally has his bowl of soup. He is eating it slowly, blowing on the spoonfuls to cool them. There is red on the tip of his nose and dripping from the side of his mouth, like blood.
Vera is seated at the table too, but her chair is turned towards Angel. She says to the younger woman, "I had rescued him from his burning dome, thinking he might still have some memory fragments, but it was a waste of time."
Angel: "You called him 'father,' back there."
Vera: "He's your father too." She smiles meanly, then continues: "In one of his foolish attempts, he tried to revive memories, using his own genes and those of the elder statesmen, creating tomatoes via artificial cultivation." (images of a barcoded eye, memory children, flash by on screen.) "We were considered the inferior stock, cast aside in order to produce a superior species." (Closeup of Gordon's red-stained mouth as he eats the tomato soup.)
Angel is shocked by this and whispers in response: "This place, this place was my home?"
Vera: "But even if the superior could remember what happened 40 years ago, they could not remember one thing prior to that," (images of R.D.'s victims flash by on screen)..."and sadly they were killed at the very instant they became aware of that fact."
Angel: "Who did this?"
Vera: "He is one who believes he is Gordon's only son, an Oedipus."
I heard that in the manga Big-O has machine guns hidden behind the arm shields. Does anyone have a pic of that?
This.
Even less possible than the O-Thunder apparatus. At least with O-Thunder there could be a sleeve around a chamber used for the Sudden Impact air pressure. That machine gattling-gun is just a giant block.
So what can the Gigadeus do?  Oh, and what are the other Manga-only weapons?
As luck would have it I just acquired the two "Lost Memories" volumes that were Japan-Only releases. No clue what they say but the graphics are absolutely superb!
The Gigadeus has three very noticeable weapons:
1) It's massive size... Big O only being about as tall as one leg-- if that.
2) Elbow Drills... on the backs of its arms are massive drills with tearing teeth.
3) Shoulder Saws... two giant saw disks in its chest/shoulder area which I can only assume are saws.
The manga never really shows the battle between Big O and the Gigadeus... this kinda ends up like Roger's first venture below the subway in Act4 where he just dives into an introspective state of insanity and Memories. The "fight" from Volume 5 flows into Volume 1 of "Lost Memories". The Gigadeus never actually fights Roger and Roger never actually defeats Beck... but somehow the world goes Beck-crazy and Roger is effectively paralyzed from the visions. The Gigadeus I suppose just vanishes along with the now greed-saturated Beck.
Big O has a number of Manga-only weapons. To defeat the Archetype Big O gains an arm whose hand is a gigantic rocket-fired mace/ball and chain. In another story Big O gains two electric hyper-generating arms. Most notably are the Triple Piston arms which are used against Big Four (Big Fau)... and as far as I can remember that is basically it. Tho the battle with Big Duo is ended not with a Chromebuster but rocket propelled hands.
*edit*
I ought to remind myself to latter to a review of the Lost Memories books... it's a damn shame that I don't know Japanese (where's Krang when you need him?) but I can make out the basic premise of the stories and GOOD FREAKING GOD SCHWARZWALD RETURNS... IN A MOVIE... MADE BY HIMSELF.
How does Big O tunnel underground so fast?  Even in the areas without the pre-made tunnels, the Megadeus burrows so dang fast.
This is the kind of plot twist I wish I could just pull off the top of my head. By itself it sounds stupid, but with all the precedents built up in Big O, well... Burt says it best.
Big O doesn't burrow. It's the Prairie Dog that burrows. Big O just falls into the hole.
