I'm a little surprised that we don't have a thread about collections already.

What sort of Anime collector are you? Do you buy manga (english or japanese), DVDs, movies, figurines, mecha models, posters, Pocky, what do you buy to fuel your hobby Smiley

The bulk of my collection is DVD's of the anime I love or want to get into (Gurren Lagann DVD's pending). I do have some interesting stuff that I won from Paradigm-City's contests (still yet to receive that Pero plushie XD from like 2006).

---DVD's/Series---
Evangelion: Death&Rebirth
Evangelion: End of Eva (Oh god...Oh god...)
The Big O: Collector's Edition Set (boxset)
The Big O II: Complete Collection (boxset)
The Big O II - Paradigm Lost (first seasonII DVD)
FullMetal Alchemist: Conquerer of Shambala
FullMetal Alchemist: Vol. 10 (came in Box Tin w/ Soundtrack)
Lupin the 3rd ... too many to list...
Lupin: Castle of Cagliostro
Lupin: Missed by a Dollar ("One Dollar Money Wars")
Lupin: Dead or Alive
Lupin: Island of Assasins
Lupin: Farewell to Nostrodamus
Lupin: The Columbus Files
Lupin: Crisis in Tokyo
Lupin: GREEN vs RED (OVA, w/ and w/o subtitles)
Trigun: High Noon (last 3 eps)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann boxset (Vol.1-2 in Gurren Box w/ core drill, with additional Vol.3-4)
Steamboy

---Manga---
The Big O (Vol. 1-6)
The Big O - LOST MEMORIES (both!)

---CD's/Soundtracks---
The Big O Original Sound Score
The Big O OP Theme "Respect" (theme CD)
The Big O: Sound Score II for Second Season
The Big O Walking Down the Yellow Brick Road (Radio CD)
Full Metal Alchemist 3rd OST
Lupin the 3rd The Original Soundtrack
Neon Genesis Evangelion OST1
R.O.D. Original Soundtrack
Steamboy Soundtrack
Trigun: The First Donuts
Trigun: The Second Donuts
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann -- Best Sound CD
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann -- Complete
TTGL Gurren-hen -- movie theme song CD
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (1st Radio drama CD kind-of)
Ouran High School Host Club Soundtrack

---Posable Models---
Anime Collector The Big O, Roger Smith & Dorothy figure set (Paradigm contest prize)

---Misc---
Big O plastic writing board... etched with the Griffon on one side, and detailed etching of Roger Smith in Big O's cockpit on the other. (Paradigm contest prize)

But I've recently made some additions to my collection thanks to Ebay!
Both small Big O figure sets (A & B). Highly detailed, yet very small! o.o;;

Here's a close-up picture of my recently acquired Big O cel from Act12! Came with main cel, background, and sketch.

I don't have a whole lot of anime, partly due to it being more expensive than most other DVDs, but mostly because I just got out of it because a lot of anime is crap. What I do have, though, is:

Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Collection (the original series condensed into 3 movies)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Appleseed (The new one from a couple years ago)
Gundam: 08th MS team (Although that's less than legal...)
Trigun (whole series, again, from teh interweb)
Outlaw Star (whole series, INCLUDING the one banned from cartoon network because of boobies)
Akira

I also used to collect Master Grade Gundam models, although I haven't gotten any in 3-4 years due to them costing $30 a pop. And I don't have time anymore.

RX-78 Gundam ver. Ka
RX-79 Gundam Ground Type
RX-79 Ez8 Gundam Ground Type
RX-78 NT1 Gundam "Alex"
RGM-79N GM Custom
RGM-79C GM Kai (Space and Ground types)
RX-77 Guncannon
RX-78GP01 Gundam "Zephyranthes"
RX-78GP01Fb Gundam Full Vernian "Zephyranthes"
RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis"
RX-78GP03S Gundam "Dendrobium Stamen"
--I actually have two of these, one of them is painted black and blue in Titans colors. The reasoning being that it survived Operation Stardust, and the Titans wouldn't leave a fully-usable Gundam type mobile suit sitting around.
MSN-02 Zeong
MS-06 Zaku II
MS-07B3 Gouf Custom
MS-09 Dom
MS-09R Rick Dom
MS-14 Gelgoog
MSM-03 Gogg
MSM-07 Z'Gok
MS-18 Kaempfer
RMS-099 Rick Dias
MSZ-006C1 Zeta Plus C1
MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus Test Color
RGZ-91 Re-GZ
RX-93 ν Gundam (Nu Gundam)
RX-178 + FXA-050 Super Gundam
XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (ver. Ka)
GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam
--This one used to be my username on the old Paradigm City forum, but it turned out that the series it was from, Gundam SEED, sucked ass.
ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

...holy crap, I have a TON of these things. I wonder how much money I wasted on this stuff.

I also have the big-ass 20th Aniversary Optimus Prime. Thing is effing huge.

Shouldn't this be in a different forum?

Anyway, I'm a much bigger fan of manga than anime. I'm not sure why.
Reguarding my collection, my dvds are movies only, and very small. As a huge Miyazaki-san fan, i have:
Howl's Moving Castle
Kiki's delivery service
Princess Mononoke
.... i can't see my collection... I'll edit this
It's not a lot, and i also have steamboy.
and three inuyasha movies
*dodges tomatoes*

I have over 80 manga, in both english and japanese, and I am no where near stopping any time soon.

I don't have models, but i have plushies!! XD
Kagome
Sango
Shippo
Sesshomaru
Chi (random huh?)
Again, I'll probably edit this...

Haves:
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Metropolis
Death Note
The Big O

Have-Nots (Wish List):
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Princess Mononoke
Howl's Moving Castle
Gundam 08th MS Team
Vision of Escaflowne
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence
Akira

Of Secondary Procural Importitude:
Sword of the Stranger
Gasaraki
Afro Samurai 2: Resurrection
Batman: Gotham Knight

Everybody's seen the classics, but it seems that very few people actually own the classics.

EyeofPain, the links to your collections don't work.

This seems true in a number of females. Maybe manga is generally prettier and richer than anime? More appreciation of the art+story over the action... perhaps...

Odd. Now they work for me as well. This is very odd... I remember this happened with PCF, too... darn my connection.

Wow. So basically you have just about every anime title that's ever existed. I see. What--you even have the live-action Cutey Honey?!

AHA, but no titles under "Z," I see. So you DO have a weak point!

There are much larger collections out there.

'Z', huh? I'll have to work on that.

OSHT CHECK OUT WHAT I JUST GOT

You know, honestly, I think I actually like Macross better than Gundam now. Most newer Gundam series have been big steaming turds. Well, 00 was pretty good, but it was more angsty teenagers. At least in Macross the angsty teenagers man up, join the real big-boy army, and stop bitching about everything.

YEAH EXCESSIVE FIREPOWER

And just for comparison with that big huge Masterpiece Optimus Prime:

Recently attended Katsucon and obtained a Gurren Lagann boxset, which was housed in this totally awesome Gurren themed box. It also came with a core drill! Sadly it was only two of the 4 currently released DVDs... so I bought the other two DVDs Roll Eyes
Bought two more Lupin series 2 DVDs and a replacement for one I bought at Tekkoshocon... the disk was scratched and of course no way to return it. Angry

I also lucked out with obtaining the R.O.D. soundtrack for a nice price (in terms of convention rates). And found out that the Gurren Lagann movie is soon to be released to DVD... unfortunately Region 2 and without subtitles. Still gonna buy it tho.

I tend to think figurines are a waste, but that does look pretty sweet.
