One of the most awesomest things that has ever come out of japan, i advice all to keep following the manga and the ova (the anime suxs, even the  creator said so). Kouta Hirano has made one of the darkest yet totally appealing form of vampire series the world has ever seen.

Yes, there is blood, lots of it (x64586) however it's HOW the blood is drawn that makes seening the blood in the end cool (lol).

Only seen the anime, not really sure if I want to see yet ANOTHER vampire manga/OVA anyway. I mean, Vampire Hunter D, Vampire Princess Myu, Trinity Blood... The list goes ON AND ON...

How many things about vampires can Japan really do?!

They're still making that?

Japan hasn't had an original idea since like...ever.

All I can say is, the other ones (and the initial series does this, and it SUCKED) probably harp endlessly on "WAN THEY DONT WANT TO BE A MONSTER BUT THEY ARE" and/or "NO THEY'RE MISUNDERSTOOD THE EVIL HUMANS WHO WE ALSO MADE REPRESENT THE WEST THROUGH OUR POOR UNDERSTANDING OF CHRISTENDOM ARE THE BAD GUYS"

This? This is pretty much just Anglican SWAT teams mowing down the undead, and then part of the manga involves vigilante nuns shooting communists and hezbollah lookalikes in the face/decapitating them (please make part of the OAV about this it was frankly cooler than the rest of the manga)

In fact actually the last I even read of the manga, they killed those two off and it was just like..no that was so over the top and neat why did you do that really.

Also as much as that first series sucked.

"Preach your communism in hell" is like my favorite line in a manga ever (then again I don't read mangas)

PS: DM (I'm not calling you by a dbz name no way in hell), the nuns with guns part is called crossfire and is like a sidestory to the manga so if they dont reprint that in the ones you go buy and you miss this line, no I did not imagine it

So you'll instead refer to me as the Dungeons and Dragons moniker for what is effectively a tiny pen and paper God?

Well I at least have played BG2 so...

Where I'm going with this, is get a better monicker. I mean its this or deciding on a number to refer to you by, which is possible but I dont much enjoy numbers.

Hey, Dungeon Master is an awesome moniker. But, I'm sticking to DBZ themes for the interim, so...

Can you handle calling me Mr. Satan? Because if so you will like my next theme.

The Hellsing OVA kicks a whole bag of ass. I hear it follows the manga closer than the series did, which is good, because I never read the manga.

Also the director has a serious gun fetish. Really every episode has several close-up shots of someone's absurdly oversized firearm. Phallic kinda.

You son of a bitch...

I saw the first series, never finished it though. I got up to the part of where Sharpie's arch-nemesis came in and I only saw him in one episode. I've been reading the manga though. Or at least I did, I don't know if they are still doing it or if a new volume has come out since. The last one I read was volume six and the Nazi vampire angle was interesting and well done too. And the graphic violence would have made the Hays Code commit suicide. Somethin' so graphic.

The new OVA anygood by any chance, if anyone has seen it?
Peace.

Mr. Satan sucks and is a pathetic character on so many levels, that's what.

And the OVA goes by the manga strictly, right?
Peace.
