Damnit I missed it this week. Oh well.
Is Gundam X the one with the all-female "Shrike" team?
No, that's Victory Gundam where they get killed off one by one in rather nasty fashions. Even spoiling that for you just now, it doesn't lessen the impact when watched. X has the mass colony drop at the begining that kills off 99% of the world's population. You made my mouth drop. Is it X available online? I'm pretty sure it's available on line. I've watched the entire show, and I loved the Mad Max styled word with Mecha. and as far a Char clones go, Jamil Neate is a cut above the rest.

Pretty sure you can find plenty of low quality fan subs with engrish translations lol. That's how I saw Gundam X, but I would gladly buy the DVD's if I had the chance.

Are we allowed to say exactly where it can be found? I know of a place where it can be torrented and the quality is rather good too.

No. If you want, you can get hold of someone through AIM, Yahoo, email, or something like that, but no torrents on this board. Gundam Fight Set! Ready... Go!

I now have something good to watch on Monday.
Since I have already seen the first season in Japanese, I was curious to see how the dub turned out, and it's actually really good, as far as Ocean Gundam dubs go and I have to say I enjoyed watching 00 in English more than in Japanese as I found a good portion of the Japanese cast to be quite annoying. I enjoyed the casting, and Patrick is much more annoying in English (this is a good thing though). Grahams voice was pretty decent as well, in fact everyone was pretty much spot on. So, what did everyone else think?
It's also funny, that a fast majority of the female characters look pretty much the same, and also, props for using Wang Lia-Mei's actually Chinese name and not "Wan Ryuumin" which made me lulz when watching it in Japanese.

I just got done watching the new series, and I think I'll have to see next week's episodes to determine my final thought. I mean, I'm in Gundam mode, but I'm a fan of the classic storyline, making me think of Seed and how it was, in a way, a newer version of the original, down to having ZAKU units and GOUF units.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not insulting it by any means. I'm just saying I have to keep watching before I determine if I like it or not. Right now, I'm not sure because, like I said, I'm stuck on my liking of the original storyline.
I did, however, find it interesting that it takes place in our timeline instead of some other timeline.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one that watched it. It's true that it's similar to SEED, but honestly in Animation style only. Having seen the entire series, the Gundams are most definitely not as Godly as they seem, just wait until the GNX (Jinx) units show up. Also I hated SEED and SEED Destiny as well. I'm a fan of the classic storyline As awesome as a new UC T.V series would be, I can't see it happening. After that disaster know as G Savior, Sunrise has focused more and more on the AU time lines, and with a new Gundam rumored for 09', it's a shoe in that it's a AU. I'd love for a new UC, other than a bunch of CGI short stories.

I will admit it. I own G Savior. It was a disaster indeed. I watched it once. I was excited when I first knew of it, because it was live action, but when I watched it, I was disappointed on an epic scale.
G Savior aside and ignored, UC's return would be most welcomed.

No doubt, G Savior could pass for a Sci-Fi original in terms of quality. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more UC OVA's similar to 0080 or 0083 and when the next Gundam rolls around in 09' I'm hoping it tries some new stuff similar to 00, and not just rehash the original i.e SEED and then Zeta SEED Destiny.

I wouldn't mind them bringing ZZ Gundam to the states...or...maybe something like...well I liked 0080 and 0083, but maybe something like 08MS team?
Ok. I'm having a problem. I'm looking for an image of Char's Zaku II. Not just any image, though. I'm looking for one from Episode 10: Garma's Fate, around the time of Garma's Death. For that matter, even one of Char in his cockpit from as he's talking to Garma right before he dies. I've been looking for a while, but all I'm finding are Gundam toys or just random pictures of Char. Can I get some help here?

I'm surprised they haven't brought ZZ or V Gundam over here. I was hoping they would finish releasing the remaining UC stuff over here, and then release X, but it seems like they are focusing on the newer Gundam shows. A new OVA similar to the 08th MS Team would indeed be epic win. As for the image, I can't help.

Older shows don't usually sell well in the States, especially when compared to more recent stuff. And the Gundam fanbase has always felt pretty lukewarm, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
I watched the premiere(s) last night, and even though Gundams may be God machines, they did a terrible job with the battles, in my opinion. They were nicely animated, sure, but there was just no excitement; you knew the outcome as soon as a Mobile Suit showed up on the screen. Aker looked like he might put up a fight at the very end of the second episode, but he'll probably just end up getting defeated and he'll get an even bigger hard on for the Gundam units.
I'll keep watching, as I've heard it gets much better, but these first two episodes felt wholly unimpressive. More so than any other anime in recent memory.
