This show kicks ass. The combat is frickin' awesome, and I think it's a cool idea how the Gundams aren't clearly shown to be piloted by good guys or bad guys.

They worked the Irish conflict in there, extra points. Even though it's ending now, in 2007, not in 23xx. It still shows that Celestial Being's plan is flawed. They want to stop conflicts by basically scaring anyone out of fighting because neither side wants Celestial Being to kick their ass. But the causes for the conflicts are still there.

so, watched episode 5. It was a nice change, but gah I hate Saji and Louise, but seeing the HRL's Tieren Tau was neat, however if that's the HRL's Anti-Gundam MS, then they need to try harder, but seems like a slightly better Tieren, atleast the Flag is much better than the Realdo, or so it seems to me.

hmmm, it seems the Blue Enact belongs to Ali Al Sarshes, who turnes out to work for a private military company called Trust. Also his voice can be heard in the prologue to episode 1, leading the Amph/Anf MS's in attacking the Kurds. Seems like Patrick is back , which honestly the AEU wasted their time repairing his MS, as he hardly deserves to be called an ace, perhaps we will get to see him get another shot soon.

Hmmm upon another viewing of this episode, it was really really bad. Upon watching Patrick a few more times, he seriously makes Jerid from Zeta look like an uber ace. Also seems like Sumeragi Lee Noriega goes from ship captain to pointless fan service, which has become a stead progression for her since the show started. Episode 7 looks pretty good though.

Time for another edit... this show needs some serious character development for the supporting cast bad and while it is a good AU, the tired and true AU theme of over powered gundams is also becoming more prevalent.

It's the english dub, and you'll have to get it off of rapidshare and megaupload, but the quality of the video is good.

Enjoy the hillbilly Black Tri Stars. That was the best thing about the new 0079 dub.

As for episode 7, it turned out pretty good. we finally get to know a little more about Setsuna/Soran, which is a nice change, as he was suffering from Heero syndrome i.e he has about 2 lines "I am Gundam" or "I am Celestial Being". The show is still suffering from some much need character development, and it seems the team is more focused on the "Hey look it takes place in the A.D time line, with real world references and current political stuff" view of the show, but it's still awesome as far as AU Gundam shows go.

Episode 9 was awesome, def. best so far. It was nice to see the Gundam's get kicked around for change and by Sergei and his out dated Tieren's as well, as the gundams where showing signs of Wing Syndrome. all in all, a very nice episode. Also Lockon's real name seems to be Neil Dylan.

So that's where the GN004 was...

Interesting thingy, that GN004. Kinda looks like a 00 Gundam without armor. It must be something that has popped up in one of the later episodes.

Gundam 00 has already lost my interest, though. Seems to me that the series would be kick ass, if only the writers weren't forced to stretch a Gundam plot over fifty episodes. It makes me wonder just how many more Gundam shows would've been legit if they were slimmed down to twenty-six.

To me, the first three or four Gundam 00 episodes felt like part of a 26-episode show, and they had me addicted. But episode 5 was sudden filler, which also introduced needless character traits like the "Newtype Flash" and split personalities. I still follow the story via reviews, so then I saw in Episode 9--an evil twin? Why? Also, see the blatant fanservice in 6 (the impossibly hot bridge commander is wearing an elegant dress during combat operations on the bridge, with a neckline so low we can see 90% of her enormous, nippleless rack) and also in 8 (time for bathing suits, girls!), plus the Wing-esque destruction of a nation's military in 6. Such a shame. The first four episodes made me think that this Gundam 00 was aiming for a slightly more mature audience.

Has anybody seen Turn a Gundam? Was it good? And, does anybody know where I might find episodes?
Turn a Gundam might have the same pitfalls as any other Gundam, but I want to take a look at it anyway. Victorian steampunk Gundam!

Well said R Daniel. The biggest problem well problems I have with 00 is the writing staff. It's been 10 episodes already and honestly nothing really has happened, sure it's had some good episodes so far but for the most part, it's followed a very simple path. Gundam's attack random military force, spout their ideology, and then return to base, yawn. But I still say 00 has potential, Graham is an awesome character but the fact we know more about him and the rest of the supporting cast than we do the Gundam pilots, with the exception of Soran/Setsuna is pretty sad. If the writing staff would stop playing the whole "LOL this is what the post 9/11 world is like with Gundams and mobile suits" routine and just tell it like what it's suppose to be, an epic war story, then things might shape up.

Gundam 00 is being split into 2 25-26 episode halves but at this rate and pacing of the story, 00 is gonna feel very rushed, which is a shame, because it was doing well during the first few episodes.

As for Turn A Gundam, I haven't seen it myself but I have heard it's pretty good.

Edit: Ok, yeah after rewatching episode 9-10, I will say they are pretty entertaining episodes but somethings I really don't like such as the Gundams following the proud Wing tradition of being way overpowered, and also even against 40 Tieren space type, the Gundam managed to escape with little damage, although I think Lockon's Gundam lost a leg but that's about the extent of the Gundam's damage so far. Damn shame the show is to poorly written and at the moment paced. It's also interesting to note that in a recent interview, Seiji Mizushima wanted to do a UC based story but bandai basically said "hell no, it's all about the AU now". I hope things improve soon.
