Once I'm done with my current project, I'm going to take an intermission and make a short animation loop. Anything cute, as long as it's short and Big O related. Preferably involving chibis.

Throw me your ideas! I'm partial to a chibi Big O using Sudden Impact on an original Megadeus, but that sounds too complicated. Something as simple as a carameldansen is ideal, really.

Examples:

There's already a video of that. Actual CD stuff doesn't start until a minute in, and i recommend watching in the 480p option.

Big O giving a hi-five to MegasXLR. (It's funny cos Megas is a fraction of Big O's height)

Yeah, I've seen it, too. That's why I gave it as an example. It's one of the better ones I've seen, too. Very smooth. It would be cool if Yuko translated the dialogue in the beginning.

This could be good. Megas could leap into the air up all heroically, with a "YEAH!" at the top. It'd be a bit complicated, though, since I'll have to establish the difference in scale.

More suggestions please.

Well, if you just want something easy, but in the chibi style, it could be something as simple as chibi verisons of things the characters already do.  Like, Roger whipping his watch out, or Vera with her whip, or, uh.. I dunno, that actually sounded better before I started trying to think of examples.  Unless you specifically wanted to stick to the mechs, in which case I have nothing.

Certainly not restricted to the mechs.

You gave me an idea! Besides the ones you posted, which are just fine. Chibi Roger being all serious with his watch sounds adorably ironic.

How about Dorothy being all grumpy, wearing an apron, pushing a mop around? I think thaz cuuute.  Embarrassed

Now I'm feeling like doing several!

You can make an animation of my favorite scene in the series.

Alex Rosewater playing with a toy robot on his dining table.

Dorothy moody and hitting roger with a mop... I think that would be funny. Or pero jumping through a hoop.

Good ideas, all. Wazpy's would be difficult. Yuko's... might just be the best one I've read so far.

On another note, Yuko, please translate the dialogue during the Big O Carameldansen! I'm dying to know what they say.

Yeah you get on that, Yuko! Good practice if nothing else, no?

In the meantime...

LET THE CHIBI MADNESS...

BEGIN!

Hopefully I'll be able to bring you something for the next couple of days. We'll see how fast I can whip these out!

Fire. Math is such an abominable hell-agent that the only thing it can understand is fire.

Got it, Yuko. Thanks for the heads-up.

Alright, so I recently started a 10-hour, 6 days-a-week job, so I haven't had much time for chibirizing, but with diligence I have finished one. I did Yuko's request since it struck me as the most amusing, yet somewhat straightforward.

Should I make it smaller?
My two favorite images are:

Sorry for the lack of shading on the figures. I was in a hurry. In the near future, I will add 3 frames between each of the ones you see here. Once I've got the full 60 frames, then I'll add the shading. Possibly a background, too. Like the solarium.

OH MY GOD!!!! I can't stop laughing. I am literally LMAOing and running out of air. that is so awesome. Thank you.
I'm working on the translation BTW. The kanji is throwing me off a bit. But other then that it seems that I've got the jest of it. Roger does not like Caramelaldansen, and I have no idea what iyaiyaiya means. But Roger yells that at the beginning.
