The whole "monkey cheese random lololol" thing is generally used as a crutch

Also really the guys other work, the comics, didn't do much for me either so its not just that show.

Flame me all you want, but Invader Zim is way overrated in my book. I personally don't mind random humor, but Invader Zim did nothing for me.

Eh, to each there own I guess.

Am I the only one thinking it's weird how Japan has suddenly released 7 or more Big O models in the last 3 months, but only in Japan, after they said no more where going to be made?

A Griffin model, a small Big O model with a tiny Dorothy figure and a Big Duo with Shwarzwald are the ones I have found. Supposedly according to a Japanese blog there are 4 others.

Japan, why you fuck with Americans brains? We didn't mess with you as bad as we did the Chinese, but still you mess with our brains.

Actually that Thudercats trailer was pretty awesome. It's certainly an improvement over the Faux-anime look of Teen Titans and Transformers Animated.

Quite a few actually. But the one in 2001 was Transformers: Robots in Disguise and it was pretty damn lousy. Actually most of the Japanese Transformers have been pretty much crap. i would also like to point out that Japan is also responsible for this as well...

Oh God. I just saw robot rape. Dear God what was Japan thinking?

I think I just lost some braincells.

I think the guy who created Kiss Players tried to play it off as "Gaiz, I did it for the shock value, totally!"

In other new's According to ANN and other sources, Screen Gems is going to produce a Devil May Cry movie.

I think the devil may cry movie has been in the works for years. I remember reading about it back in 09.

How long dos it take to make an animated movie again?

It was a series, actually.

That ThunderCats trailer was seriously awesome. I don't watch much TV, but I might want to watch that.

And didn't Japan animate the original Transformers cartoon?

Japan only provided the animation. Story and what not was done by Hasbro. I actually prefer the co-pro's as they bring the best of both worlds in to play. Even Japan has full control, we end up with Kiss Players.

Being as facebook decided to become an asinine whore of a thing, and make me go complete a 'security check" to login from my other computer, I can't go try and wring this info out of a person who probably knows how movie options/development works

But from what I've seen, anecdotally, properties are just bought up as a matter of course. Somebody goes "Oh hey people seem to like this, we should option the rights". Whether or not they ever get around to actually doing it is, seemingly, another story.

So its possible they just never started production at all. That probably applies to a lot of things in this thread.

Or hell, hasn't there been an "upcoming" castlevania movie forever? Some executive recognized the name, figured it might make some cash sooner or later, and decided to snap it up before the competition.

edit: Silent Hill, I'm like..80 to 90% sure, experienced a similar thing where for the longest time there were rumblings "oh they'll make a movie" and then years and years later it came out. I dunno because I was actually avoiding any news about it, dreading the outcome...which...I ended up being surprisingly pleased with all things considered.

Because even though it isn't anime you still have to watch it.

I would have expected that many Power Rangers in one place to create some kind of tear in the Space-Time Continuum...
