Oh, and thank you. You are my favorite person at the moment. Shocked

I leave for a week and I come back to this?!

Nine, you cur!

*dramatic slap across Nine's face*

Anyway, I am a total slave to Yoko Kanno's music, as well. Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell... Some of the most top notch music I've ever heard period.

Lately, I've been spamming the Solid State Society OST. Yay for Origa goodness!

HONEY! WAIT, ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! YOU KNOW YOUR MY ONLY IDEOLOGICAL ONE!

*rubs face in shame, runs melodramatically after her*

I've been listening to the Solid State Society themes a lot recently. Goddamn, Ilaria Graziano can sing. I heard a little bit of Kanno's stuff regarding Escaflowne, but I've been meaning to listen to more of it.

Really Amy, this is just business reagrding me getting tracks from GITS. Nothing more. Come back to me. ;___;
Peace.

The Trigun soundtrack is very good as well.

On another note, the Ranma 1/2 opening song is addictive like heroin combined with crack combined with nicotine combined with Pixie Stix combined with Everquest.

It could be long. Depends on how fast the vocalist is singing.

Off the top of my head, I'd probably say the Hellsing television series soundtrack, maybe tied with FLCL. Of course, anything by Yoko Kanno is golden, and I liked the Eureka seveN OSTs, too.

I like the GTS SaC sound track. Ghost in the shell rocks, I kind of wonder why they choose a Russian pop star to sing the theme, or why it's in Russian at all?

If I recall correctly, Yoko Kanno, the composer of the soundtrack for all the Stand Alone Complex projects, didn't want a typical J-Pop sound for the opener, so she contacted Origa, who wrote the lyrics to, and performed, "Inner Universe," along with several other tracks.

This one's a little on the obscure side but for me, the 2004 remake of Area 88 has the best soundtrack of any animé I've ever watched, with Big O a very close second.

Depending on my mood...

Pop Tunes - Eureka Seven
Jazz/Action - Cowboy Bebop/Big O
Orchestral/Mystery - Robotech (The Super Dimension Fortress Macross/Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross/Genesis Climber Mospeada)

Y'all have to listen to RahXephon. Not really a fan of the anime, myself, but the soundtrack has it.

Also, Code Geass is really catchy and exciting.

I've heard of Area 88! In the original anime there was an English voiceactor with the same name as mine. Never heard any songs from it though. Could you link me to your favs?

Nah man, Big O's weak. I'm glad it introduced me to Raindrop Sonata, and I like the Paradigm City theme loads, and, okay, Sure Promise is epic... but the rest of the sountrack is forgettable to me.

There's not much on the net, but I've got both volumes of the OST. PM me with your email address and I'll send over some of my favourites.
Oh, and if you've not yet seen it, I started an Area 88 discussion thread.

If you click the little envelope beneath my name, your e-mail service should pop up with my address already in the "To:" field.

I guess I'll edit this later and put in some YouTube links to some of my favs.
