The ones that have Big O, (D and Z) are for the GBA and PS2 respectively. Both are in Japanese of course, but of you want to play an english SRW that isn't Original Generation, Alpha Gaiden (PS1/X) has been fully fan translated. It shouldn't be that hard to find.

If you can get a hold of it, Big O is in Sunrise World War.
I have a copy of it I bought for $29.99 a few years ago. You can get a PS2 emulator for Pc's and a usb to controller connecter and you can play it on the PC, and not need to get a Japanese PS2, or download it. It's a worth while game.

I don't understand the draw of these games. Everything's out of context, out of scale, or it's just re-hashing. Instead of dynamic fights, you have turn-based auto-win. No thank you!

Me too.
Mostly TPSRPG's, which is what SRW is.
I can't wait for the new game. I hear a teaser trailer will be out next month. But I'm not sure if it's true.

... It's a strategy game?

What happens when you lose a hero? Do they return for the next fight?

Unless of course it's a mission objective that they not get shot down. If one of the losing conditions is that they do get shot down, and you lose them in battle, it's game over. So save often if you're not sure about a choice you're about to make.

Tactics, well as I've mentioned. X-com is very cheap on steam if you're into tactical games

(It's SO tactical..possibly too much)

(Theres also freeware variants I think)

Robo Battle is a free version of SRW, sort of. It's a knock off, but it's still fun to play.

Free is always good. Or good in the sense of..even if it doesn't pan out, you didn't really lose anything on the deal.

I found it! I found the screen shot of SRW DS. And yes Big O is in it.
If I read it right, SRW DS is SRW D for the DS. I think it will be released in English. I really hope it is. I can't tell if the Big O scenario is new and made for this game or is a re-do of the mission from SRW D.

I don't think that one's real. Just look at the date. That article is over four years old. The Gravion stuff looks lifted right from SRW Z, and the Big O image is the D sprite.
