I'm not into mecha anime(except Big O obviously), but I figured there was a category on Wikipedia that might help!

Lies, wiki is awesome. The only time I've seen it be wrong is when it's FLAGRANTLY wrong or someone randomly adds "billy smells" to the middle of an article about ancient Rome.

Why would Wiki lie about robot animu and mango though? Haha.

I'm sure most of the ones on there ARE mecha.

But sometimes the information is only half-correct.

Also, "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" is a mech anime + manga

True, but pretty much some obvious ones are on there like Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, the Gundams, Zoids, Macross, etc. so I don't see why it wouldn't help a little.

I think neoncoyote gets the points here. That wikipedia article lists so much obscure anime, I'm convinced that it really does list every mecha anime ever made.

Like Mike, I trust wikipedia.

Is there really any point to this thread other than a list of animes? wiki or anime sites would probably be more useful since you can read something about the show instead of just its name.

In light of Mike's comments, and to stop this flagrant battery of the english language from persisting, the thread's locked unless someone can convince me it should remain open.
