I've now seen Paprika, Satoshi Kon's latest movie. It's a bit overwhelming. Anyone else seen it and want to discuss it?

My standards for this movie are ridiculously high, there is no way it's going to be able to live up to my expectations.

What IS the movie? I've heard of the spice (I use it sometimes, in fact), but this movie has eluded my knowledge. War.

In a time very much like the present, a team of Japanese researchers have developed a device, the DC-Mini, which allows an observer to enter another's dreams. This is hailed as a breakthrough in psychotherapy, but when the device is stolen, it turns out that the one wearing it can force dreams onto another, even if he is awake. To save their project, the team try to find it.
As you would expect from the director of Millenium Actress and Paranoia Agent, an important part of the movie is the blurring of boundaries between waking, dreams and madness. Madhouse, the production company, does an excellent job with the animation.

The trailer of this involves (from what I inferred) involves some sort of synchronized suicide by japanese businessmen, and at one point someone busts out rocket launchers to combat giant floats or something. Looks interesting, if anything http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcUyB8hl8roEdit: It appears the japanese trailer is alot more sinister than the american one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiylG5v62MU
