Title: The manga you would make Post by: Bllue on October 22, 2008, 06:34:46 AM I've been thinking about this recently because I'm getting tired of being able to guess what's going to happen. Hana Yori Dango disappointed me when i was able to do this when the whole amnesia bit came around. (Umi-chan's a hoe, don't be decieved).
So I was think ing I would like to make a school drama, only not about the students, but the teachers. I mean, why do adults never have lives in manga?! jeez. I also can't help but add the foreigner influence, meaning american teacher in japan, or the like, because that way it's more excusable for them to but into everybody's business. lawl. I like this idea. Only, the foreign teacher shouldn't be the main character. He should only be a side-character. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Brooklyn Luckfield on October 23, 2008, 03:17:15 PM I do an Western manga, in the vain of Trigun minus the sci-fi elements. The western manga department is rather thin, but they usually end up being pretty decent or maybe a real robot manga similar to Gundam.
Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Big Money on October 23, 2008, 09:58:55 PM I'd do a reimagining of Star Wars for the 50th anniversary, and try to subvert Joseph Campbell and George Lucas as much as possible
ignore that this is probably me wanting to vent ideas for what would essentially be fanfiction because I can't bring myself to write fanfiction honestly I just want someone to light a cigar with a lightsaber Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Xel on October 29, 2008, 01:37:22 PM ignore that this is probably me wanting to vent ideas for what would essentially be fanfiction because I can't bring myself to write fanfiction As for me, I just write fanfiction. |D Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Bllue on October 31, 2008, 03:14:37 AM My high-school chem teacher said he taught his physics class to make light sabers. I don't think they'd light a cigar though...
Only, the foreign teacher shouldn't be the main character. He should only be a side-character. ... You seem to be intercepting my brain waves, because I have it imagined that the foreign teacher is the observer, like the medium to see things through, but not the most important player, because they're paying attention to everyone else's life, since I doubt theirs would be too exciting. And there would be such drama with the teachers! Of course, I'm a girl, so there has to be drama. Man, I wish I could draw...Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Char Aznable on November 06, 2008, 05:01:16 PM I would end up with some form of Mecha...something probably along the lines of crossing Gundam with Zoids, and in some "rare" cases have some of the units semi-self aware to rescue their pilot or some nonsense like that when they need it and all other hope seems lost.
Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Brooklyn Luckfield on November 16, 2008, 04:49:19 PM Quote I also can't help but add the foreigner influence, meaning american teacher in japan Make him the main character, and he needs to have blond hair and blue eyes, cause we westerners all look like that amirite? But in all seriousness, I'd probably do this, and make it as stereotyped as possible, and for added lulz, I'll make it seem deeper than it actually is, you know typical Harem Animu. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Wazpy on November 16, 2008, 05:48:34 PM Well, my comic's plot would look something like this:
Joe Supasodio is the world's most brutal paparazzi photographer. Although his missions require celebrities to be placed is absurd situtations, he is stern in his anti-Photoshop policies. Therefore, he must rely on his huge wealth of magician tricks to get the shots he needs. Does the paper need to prove that Bruce Willis can levitate things with his mind? While his rivals cheat with computer editing, Joe would float a house in the air using an army of hot air balloons and get a shot of Willis standing next to it. His tactics may seem over the top, but his work is of a quality the industry has never seen before... he also punches a lot of body guards and Photoshop users. It's really awesome. I actually did make an issue of it (It was about him battling some kind of werewolf Rob Schnieder. It was written just after The Animal came out), but I don't think it's been scanned. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Big Money on November 17, 2008, 09:21:00 AM dear Wazpy
do us all a favor and go work for Cartoon Network, I know that sounds extreme and/or horrible but I'd much rather watch anything you pull out of the back of your head than reruns of 6Teen, come on buddy take one for the team thanks, Money Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: neoncoyote on November 17, 2008, 01:41:54 PM Joe Supasodio is the world's most brutal paparazzi photographer. I want to see this. Right now.Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Brooklyn Luckfield on November 17, 2008, 02:47:51 PM Quote reruns of 6Teen Isn't that show by the same guys who made Total Drama Island? In other words unfunny. Quote Joe Supasodio is the world's most brutal paparazzi photographer. If they ever made a cartoon or something of this, I'd watch it. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Wazpy on November 17, 2008, 02:48:23 PM reruns of 6Teen Side note: I watched 3 hours of 6Teen yesterday... it was painful. But at least it's not addictive painful like Total Drama Island (Which I hate, yet watch every single Thursday and can never miss :'( ) But yeah, I'll scan it later. I might scan my comic strip too. It was about this guy named Professor Cosmos who loved to belittle people with his profound knowledge of space. However, his delivery was always absurdly bizarre. Example: Cosmos - "Ah, the stars hold many messages of wisdom about the future of mankind." Other guy - "What do the stars say about me Professor Cosmos?" Cosmos - "Nobody can read the stars, fool!" Other guy - "Then how do we know the stars contain messages at all?" Cosmos - *Laughs* "Oh. How quaint!" *walks off* There was never any punchline. I guess the funniest part about it was how everything fell flat all the time. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Bllue on November 18, 2008, 04:37:30 PM Ahahaha! Total Drama Island is my guilt pleasure too. 6teen is just gay. I'm not offending anybod, right. Scince when do 16 year olds look 20?!?!?!?
Any way, I had the same thought as every one else, Wazpy, I would really enjoy that story. Wow, so original! I've never seen anything about the photagraphers point of view! SCAN IT!!!! please. ;) Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: DOMON KASSHU! on November 19, 2008, 05:05:59 AM Scince when do 16 year olds look 20?!?!?!? See, it used to be called 90210... Um, would you help me with my Season 3, if I decide to finish? There's a Beckisode and I'm positive it's not funny enough. Quote It's really awesome. Redundant statement. Its awesomeness is already obvious. Quote I actually did make an issue of it. But I don't think it's been scanned. Needs scan. Title: Re: The manga you would make Post by: Ace of Spades on January 20, 2009, 02:40:11 AM I'll possibly start a new project after finishing Dark Fenrir X. Possibly something with a Xenogears or Metal Gear Solid feel.
