AC4 might have a couple of Hover units, but they've been reducing the hover legs. With the auto-hover ability, you no longer have to have a hover unit to keep out of the water. And I do remember that AC3 has different FCS parts.

Like the article states, each AC game takes the information from all of those previous and makes it better and adds something epically new. Now, while I have problems controlling an AC using the controls of AC3 (because at some point they upgraded to the dual-stick system), I must ask, do you know where to find Ammo for the internal weapon "X"? You know, that you-can-find-the-weapon-but-must-find-ammo-to-use-it nuke weapon? I have "X" equipped to one of my units, but it has no ammo.

Which leads me to another point, Internal weapons have gone by the wayside, as have buying those upgrade parts that do random things like emit pulses to disable missile tracking and so on and so forth.

Back to your hover design...

With the new control system, there really isn't a need for the hover leg part at all. You can do the same hovering in a tank, a quad, a chicken-leg, a biped, light, medium, heavy, albeit at different speeds of course, but still can be done. I hover my units constantly, and with the right Generator and boosters, at little cost.

Oh, Radiators have gone by the wayside, making your flamethrower useless. I know, that was how to beat Exile easily in the parking lot...or so my friends said...but yeah, that was another reason I ditched the Bazooka/Howitzer combo. A big part of that setup was causing an opponent in the Arena to overheat drastically, taking further AP damage.

Like I said, AC4 and AC4A are a whole new ball game, built to be faster and more intense. I read in that article that AC4A will not draw new players because of the intensity of the game, and I've found that they'd rather have some clear enemy that's usually seemingly alien, than fighting other humans in giant mechas. Me on the other hand...I love my robots.

Again going back to your AC (yes I am extremely ADD), I'm not sure about energy machine guns in the newer two games. Some of your classic parts are still in the game, so if you aren't sure about what to do when seeing new parts you don't know, some of your classics are still around. I should somehow record me using my AC variants on the new games to show you what they are capable of now. You no longer have the box that your target has to be in. That box is the whole screen. Anyway, You can easily make a biped hover like you like to do, and the quick boost will make it more fun for you.

I should open an AC discussion thread, and will do so when I'm not so tired and someone suggests the optimum place to locate the thread. I'm just rambling on now about ACs and their finer parts, and my sleeping pill is kicking in, but feel free to ask me anything about AC. Oh, and if you like beam parts, and you get Armored Core Last Raven (PS2), I made a hover unit, forgot the name, but it has weapon arms that are dual beam blades. fun to use sometimes, but not really overall practical.

Some DS/GBA games:
Transformers: Decepticon, LEGO Batman, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and a little Mario Kart.

Oh, and 96K of pwnage, also known as .kkreiger.

It's funny...When I was younger, I played video games, then I needed to catch up on my homework.
Now, I do my homework, and then I have to catch up on my video games...

Fallout 3 DLC (Operation Anchorage) 360

lol this is Fallout? OA, is a glorified FPS in the vain of Bioshock. Really ammo and health stations? Not to mention the MGS style Hei Gui stealth armor. Man, Fallout has truly fallen. Also, it's only 2 hours long, yep 2 hours, and can be beaten in one sitting.

It was fun, but yeah. It was REALLY REALLY short.
At least you get a ninja suit and indestructible power armor out of it.

Fallout 2 (PC)

Despite it's age, FO2 is still a blast, and was made by peeps who know what FO was about.

lol yeah, I noticed that too, also it's hilarious you don't even need PA training for it.

The Hei Gui Stealth Armor does certainly look cool, but it's usefulness is debatable, also the next DLC, The Pitt has been pushed back until early March, which I'm fine with, gives them time to actually make the DLC worth something, although, I'm not holding my breath.

God yes. Still got my Fallout 1. Need Tactics and 2.

Sounds boring. I can't imagine there are any characters in the Anchorage level, so all your armor is good for is wading through nameless grunts who you could easily eliminate in any case.

You wear regular (but also indestructible, because it's a simulation) armor in OA. You get the, ndestructible power armor after you finish it as a prize. Supposedly the indestructible part is a glitch. though.

I think Amazon has a 3 pack of 1,2, and Tactics for like 20 bucks. totally worth it.

O:A has zero interesting characters, much like FO3 overall, however Like Mike mentioned it is a glitch, O:A is LOADED with glitches, because it's a Bethesda game. Seriously every game they release is over hyped, and glitchly as all hell. Not to mention they tried to hard with the 50's theme. Also it should be noted to they turned the awesome Brotherhood of Steel into a bunch of generic Oblivion style knights that run around getting their asses kicked while screaming generic fantasy dialog such as "To arms to arms" and the most stupid line in years, "Steel Be with You".  R.Dan I could write a thesis on how mediocre FO3 compared to 1 & 2, and hell even Tactics, but FO3 has some really well though out side quests, some nice designs such as Power Armor, and some ok writing in spots.

P.S: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is gonna be beyond awesome. Saw the debut commercial during the supper bowl last night.

I see. Yeah, it certainly looks mediocre in every video. Even the gigantic robot assault managed to thoroughly underwhelm me. That's quite an underachievement. I'll spend my money on the collection set instead.

Steel be with you.

Fascinating. Is it like a race? Cuz with more than one person clicking away on the same grid, I can imagine it would get confounding.

GTA 4. Underwhelmed.

Glad I didn't shell out $50 for it and let securom rape my computer some more.

It's not BAD, it's just exactly like every other GTA game since III, but prettier. And the car handling is brutal. If I wanted driving realism I'd play Gran Turismo or something. I just want to blow shit up and drive like a maniac.
