GTA 4. Underwhelmed.
Glad I didn't shell out $50 for it and let securom rape my computer some more.
It's not BAD, it's just exactly like every other GTA game since III, but prettier. And the car handling is brutal. If I wanted driving realism I'd play Gran Turismo or something. I just want to blow shit up and drive like a maniac.
The game you're looking for is Saint's Row 2. Has much more "Fun" and "Crazyness" and less of the "Realism", "Bloom", and "Brown". Ironically, Saint's Row 2 is closer to the style of the old Grand Theft Auto games than GTA IV is. However, don't get it for PC unless you have a quad core processor, they used the shitty GTA IV style quick and cheap PC port technique where you're essentially running the Xbox 360 version through an emulator in disguise so the whole thing is CPU bound, making hardly any use of the GPU whatsoever and murdering performance.  |

See Bethesda, this is how DLC should be done. You have to give people bang for their buck, not a 1-2 hour romp full of raped Fallout canon and lore, and awful voice acting.

Not exactly. They brought in two new weapons, made bikes safer, and added some motorcycle gang mechanics. Almost squad-based. Maybe you didn't play it enough? I'm not a huge GTA-lover, but I admire their efforts. |

The Last Remnant (360)
Fun Fact: Installing the game to your 360 makes the game playable reducing the pop in, slow down, and laggy animations.
I'm hoping the PS3 version has a install option, and some new content would be nice too.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.
It's actually pretty sweet, although I never played the first game. Reminds me of Doom 3 but instead of demons on Mars, it's superpowered psychic mindfuckery. not on Mars.
My only real complaint is the way dead bodies just disappear a couple seconds after you shotgun their faces. While you're still looking at them. I know every game can't be Fallout 3 where everyone you ever kill, ever, stays there for all time, but they could at least play it like Call of Duty 4 and make corpses disappear only after you looked away and they're off screen.

I was just playing that myself. That, Guilty Gear X, Guilty Gear X2, and Guilty Gear Isuka a little bit. Don't like that they got rid of the awesome voice, but love the return of instant-kills, and the introduction of A.B.A.'s Instant-Kill. But something has been bothering me, did they ever make guilty gear into an anime? I've been having trouble determining this... |

One of the changes I didn't like with accent core plus was what they did to Jam. Powering up her special attacks just to be able link them together I think is bullshit. The AI may give me the time to power her up, but fat chance that another person would.
I really haven't tried all the characters yet. I've tried Jam, Order Sol, Potemkin and Robo Ky

actually...Jam is my primary character, and I put her moves in quickly...I'll have to try it out, as I don't play Accent Core that much.

Freespace 2 The greatest space combat sim ever made. Never before and never again were space battles so epic. I currently have Freespace 2 Open 3.6.10 installed with the latest graphical upgrades, looks awesome especially with the new lighting and shadow effects.  Thanks goes to the many coders, modellers, texture artists, and effects artists who donate their time and effort to continue improving and developing this great game. |
