Who else has been keeping tabs on Starcraft 2?

What do you think of the Firebat going all Goliath and getting produced at the Factory?

Won't it be odd to build a Viking at a Starport? I  can't think of a good argument for building the unit at either the Factory or the Starport, alone.

Finally, and most controversially, tell me what you think about the current visual style.

I haven't kept up much since a month or two back, but everything seems pretty win and awesome.

I can't think of a good argument for having a unit be able to be built at two types of buildings.  Each building being specialized and all.

I really like the visuals in this game.

Even though the graphics have been improved a lot, it still looks like Starcraft.

I really like almost everything I've seen about this game, because I'm hardcore kekekeke about starcraft.

Though the whole stasis orb thing looks/sounds really dumb, but that was months ago and its probably changed.

Also, do want vikings.

Hm, so apparently Vivendi, of which Blizzard is a division, bought out Activision. The resulting company rivals Electronic Arts. Interesting.

Hahaha, I agree with you. It's ironic, though, because most of the old-school fanboys are doing nothing but bitching.

I thought it looked cartoony at first. You know, like everything was too round, the colors too garish, and the Terrans had a plastic sheen. But I looked closer. I saw some textures and paid closer attention to the shapes--the models are actually pretty detailed. And thankfully, because the fans were so outspoken, the Blizzard online spokesman released a statement that the art team is addressing the color/plastic sheen problem.

Yeah, they're gone. I never heard about what they did in the first place, though. What did they do?

True. It's just weird... difficult to classify: walker or jet? I'd understand if you had to research the flying ability at a Starport tech lab, but  apparently you research it a Factory tech lab. Hrm. I'm glad the Viking is still open to change.

By the way, did you know that Blizzard had made an SDF-1 lookalike, as an upgrade to the Starport? Was called the Starbase: a beefed-up Starport that can build units on the fly. Dunno if it could even land. But Blizzard cut it out, saying it wasn't really necessary. Some are calling for the Thor to get cut, as well, since it's similar to the Siege Tank.

Oh yeah, and if you're interested, Blizz has released some new screenshots of the Zerg.

When I saw the first teaser trailer, it actually reminded me of Doom 3. All the big chunky clanking machinery, oversized unnecessary bolts and stuff and plus it was all rusty. Good stuff.

Yeah, they're gone. I never heard about what they did in the first place, though. What did they do?

First they were star relics, which were these arbiter things but they cloaked buildings, which was epic win, but then they put the cloakness on the mothership, so they were like "well, I guess this model can just make things move slower. And do nothing else. At all."

So's I'm glad they got ditched.

I'd forgotten they were actually working on that one.

I only recently started playing a bit of the original (yeah, bit behind), so I can't really say much about the sequel. Blizzard always seems to come through, except for that one game with the chick (oh, Starcraft: Ghost), so I don't doubt the game'll be good.
