Hm,
so apparently Vivendi, of which Blizzard is a division,
bought out Activision. The resulting company rivals Electronic Arts. Interesting.
I really like the visuals in this game.
Even though the graphics have been improved a lot, it still looks like Starcraft.
Hahaha, I agree with you. It's ironic, though, because most of the old-school fanboys are doing nothing but bitching.
I thought it looked cartoony at first. You know, like everything was too round, the colors too garish, and the Terrans had a plastic sheen. But I looked closer. I saw some textures and paid closer attention to the shapes--the models are actually pretty detailed. And thankfully, because the fans were so outspoken, the Blizzard online spokesman released a statement that the art team is addressing the color/plastic sheen problem.
Though the whole stasis orb thing looks/sounds really dumb, but that was months ago and its probably changed.
Yeah, they're gone. I never heard about what they did in the first place, though. What did they do?
I can't think of a good argument for having a unit be able to be built at two types of buildings. Each building being specialized and all.
True. It's just weird... difficult to classify: walker or jet? I'd understand if you had to research the flying ability at a Starport tech lab, but apparently you research it a Factory tech lab. Hrm. I'm glad the Viking is still open to change.
By the way, did you know that Blizzard had made an SDF-1 lookalike, as an upgrade to the Starport? Was called the Starbase: a beefed-up Starport that can build units on the fly. Dunno if it could even land. But Blizzard cut it out, saying it wasn't really necessary. Some are calling for the Thor to get cut, as well, since it's similar to the Siege Tank.
Oh yeah, and if you're interested, Blizz has released some new screenshots of the Zerg.
