haha grateing.. xD
gah, koreans xD They work boybands like Japanese can only dream xD... you linked me to a stalker video xD it's really catchy though.
Super Junior is the weirdest group I've seen, which is saying something...until you see the japanese version of the song 0_0
I really enjoyed the last two videos you linked. It's interesting to note what the directors did in order to adapt it to a Japanese audience. Yeah I'd agree it was a little stranger. Also, female backup dancers, female vocal segment.

Or maybe the females were another group that collaborated with the Korean group? Maybe Japanese would only bother listening to a random pop song if other Japanese were involved in some way, or if it was in exotic and prestigious English.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they were added, I also am not sure why they're famous...

Overall I'd say the Korean video was much better. The classroom skit was hilarious. The Japanese video didn't have nearly as much variation or comedy throughout.

That's true. My friend fist showed me the Japanese one, which I'm like o_0 about xD The Korean sounds better too.

How do you listen to so much J-pop?! I can't. People say lyrics in pop songs don't matter, but J-pop and K-pop have made me realize that they do.

Actually, the reason I like Arashi so much is because of their lyrics. Most of the time they sing really great words, it's only sometimes that they give us complete nonsense, like with Kitto Daijobu, the one with all the rainbows but even so the lyrics aren't bad xD Truth is one of their most popular songs, and with really great reason. ... I'm taking twice as long to write this because I started watching the PV xD they make me swoon *_* For some people it is only the music that matters, but the lyrics are important for me, which is why I can't stand american stuff.

Gilgamesh

Umm Japan, Nu Metal died out years ago. And yes, it's the same Gilgamesh that spawned the already Garugamesh meme, and they aren't very good either. Go Go Engrish lyrics!

You can understand THEIR lyrics but you can't decipher one stinkin' song for me? Sheesh.

I wish I had time to take more Japanese. I bought the textbooks for the class even though I can't take it. I'm going to self-teach over the Summer! Cheesy

Wait! When did you ask me?!?! and it's not hard to find translations as well, if you really wanted them... that and a lot of Arashi songs have tons of Jangrish in them. But it takes time and words in front of me to realize what they're saying (I mean the japanese words) I'll link you to a song i didn't understand with out the japanese lyrics later... though they do have a lot of english in that one too xD

It was an ED for an Armored Trooper Votoms series. You said it was a very odd song, including something about someone opening up... showing their insides or something. You seemed to think he was singing about guts! It sounds very pretty and I'm still curious. I don't think a translation exists, due to obscurity. In fact, just finding the video was difficult.

Woah, really? At Hopkins, at least, one must be a native speaker to teach. Then again, it's silly for me to think first of colleges. I know some private schools and magnet schools offer schwanky stuff like Japanese. Anyway... cool!

you don't have japanese speaking friends? they could help you a lot better than I can. I'll see what I can do though xDs It's gonna take a while... >.>

In California you need to obtain a Masters degree to teach anything in a college. Universities require PH.D's. I spoke to a councilor about this already... I'm thinking I want a PH.D just because I want to go as far as I can... and if anything, I can always just be a translator or work in another country teaching English. There are tons of options that come with learning languages...

I just remembered that this is a thread for music xDs This is what I am listening to right now... concert style Grin hahaha aI hate that thing on MastuJun's head though xDs I LOVE the guy that opens the song... in case I haven't mentione him enough xDs

:O I'm not listening to ARASHI!!! Lips sealed Blasphemy! well, ok I am still listening to them, but they aren't alone any more!! I've found a group called flumpool, and I love their music! here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MadAvOpTFpg
I posted a different song in the anime news thread, if you might like that one better. I don't know, I'm not a boy! >.< xD kidding. I really like them though, cuz they're alternative. They're also doing really well in Japan right now, though I think I found them by accident. Ok, yeah... that's my nickle...
