Ok so besides piloting Big Duo what link did Shcwarwald(I can't spell this) and Alan have?
My reason for asking is in Act 23 Alan goes insane because Shwarz taunts him. But other then that did they know each other? had they even met at some point before?
I'm asking cause I think I missed something, something that could connect the 2 most insane people in the anime.
My other reason for bringing this up is I think I figured out how shwarz died. All we know is he died right? Well actually we know a bit more about it. His body wouldn't have been found if he was in the desert, that is if he where alone at least. What if, and here's a big what if, Shwarz died in Duo's cockpit? If Duo where in the desert, then both the union and Paradigm corp would be looking for it. and we know Paradigm found it, or at least had possession of Duo. What if Shwarz asked Duo to absorb his conciseness while he died, and when Duo ejected Alan he used Shawrz remnant to drive Alan over the last bit of sanity he had?
IDK maybe I'm thinking to much about this or I missed something obvious. You tell me.

Doesn't sound too unreasonable. I always took it as Duo rejecting Alan using Schwarzwald's voice/words, or something.

..Welp. If we wanna theorize
Wasn't Schwarzwald the original commander of that robot. Then when Alan used it he'd salvaged it. And whatsits with the white robot failed
I always thought the big robots were leftovers from something (there were those random-ass clips of some war in season 2), and wouldn't activate without their 'pilots'

Well if anyone else has read the silly 1 act play of Big O written by Konaka which is one of the only things that expands upon the Wizard of Oz plot adaptations added to Big O one could consider that Schwartzvald could be considered the scarecrow who wanted a brain (or for our bandaged fellow he wanted the knowledge of the truth of paradigm city. Alan could be the Tin man, he had a sharp hand that could be his axe and there is no doubt he is without a heart; and Alex rosewater (or beck really since his color scheme fits but I'll stick with Alex) Could be the cowardly lion. All three of course fittingly die after getting or seemingly getting what they want and all three try to be masters of a megadeus.
Yes this is a stretch but it is one way to associate the antagonists. Angel could be both the wicked witch of the west and the good witch, as well as Dastun could be the wizard (he does have an aweful big head...), and Roger could be Toto lol.
Obviously the parallel's don't go that far but it is a valid thing to keep in mind when dissecting The Big O.
Alan's existence isn't even explained that well either. It's quite odd that he's a human android hybrid and was never really touched on about that in season 2. His character was probabbly rushed and some of his plot points were probabbly changed with the cancellation.
They are the two most psychotic characters I would say though. If you think of Big Duo as a red baron plane like giant robot then it takes a pretty daredevil person to pilot it.
