Dude, no reason to get hostile.
I think the "hostility" was just exaggerated, for laughs. Hmm... news news news... UKULELE REPLACES RECORDER AS ELEMENTARY-SCHOOL INSTRUMENT, UKJealous? I certainly am. It's like getting childhood training in the guitar.

If it was electric guitar, that would be more awesomer.
That seems like a weird thing to tell a little kid, though.

This convo has become zany and enjoyable, but on a different level I feel bad for extending a thread with this kinda title. Galatea, won't you change the title? If it was electric guitar, that would be more awesomer.

Oh snap, can you imagine a room of elementary school kids all wailing on full-size electric guitars... INSTANT LULZ. Though the noise would be horrendous, that's what earplugs are for. Maybe we should just cut to the chase and distribute Guitar Hero to all of our schools?

It'd be like School of Rock, without Jack Black.
To stay on topic: Is that what Rowling plans to write next: a series about Dumbledore's early "wild" days?

Later to be adapted into a movie, directed by Ang Lee. War.

he didn't act it thats for sure. Then frankly, it sounds like she's either not a good enough author to have made it clear in the books. Or this is a move with the specific intent of keeping the franchise at the forefront of media attention so the remaining movies, the 7th book shes compiling from unused material, and whatever she moves onto in the future will still be fresh on the mind of the consumer base. Hack or marketing strategy, take your pick

Sharpy has a genius insight here. True enough. I never noticed him as in any way acting gay, but then, what does it mean to 'act gay?' At once we can consider that the author never once made a hint to this orientation being true, and I sometimes felt there was more of a hint about Dumbledore and McGonagall in her books. That was simply what I inferred, so I assume based on that that this was a marketing ploy. War.

It's utterly ridiculous to have decided to make him gay AFTER the series ended. My Gov't teacher thought maybe she wants to make the world realize that they can like Closet Gays and turn out not being homophobic... It's just not very well thought out, i think.
