Crysis.
The final boss is epic.
And running almost-1080p on a 22 inch monitor is win.

Back...in black...

I can't believe that this completely slipped my mind...

I teamed up with my "future brother-in-law" to play House of the Dead 2 and 3 on the Wii (his) back at Easter. What was memorable was that my 4-year-old niece wanted to play. Was she scared? No, because her Uncle...er...Negotiator "the monster fighter" was there. (A little background: A while ago, she once told me she thought a monster was around and she was afraid. I told her "There are no monsters here, because if any show up, I'll beat them up", and that made her feel better... So I'm the "monster fighting" uncle now... Cool Mind you, we're not talking Disney-/Monster's Inc.-/Muppet-type monsters. She likes them...)

So, there I was, unmercifully fragging monsters, yelling "Go away!" and "Hey! Leave my niece alone!", as my future b-i-l assisted my niece in taking out a few of them. She was so unafraid, that she started to yell "Yeah! Go away!" at the monsters. Classic... Grin

Hey, can anyone explain to me the awesomeness that is Call of duty 4? I've watched my brother play, and cannot find the fascinating bit...

Amazing game is amazing.

You shoot people. And you level up and get new guns. And then you shoot more people and get new guns and other fun stuff. It's like they took the crack-like addictiveness of Counterstrike and added it to a game that's over 9000 times better. And Counterstrike was pretty damn awesome back in the day.

After reading this I must play Counterstrike.

This sounds like a variant of gungame.

It's so much better than gungame because you actually choose your gun.
It's a leveling-up system. Killing someone gets you 10 points, an assist gets you 2, and so on. More points = leveling up. Leveling up = new weapons, new perks (things that help your ownage, like extra damage or extra health or better wall penetration and such)
