Ah, I see!  We've been going about recruiting all wrong!

Dorothy is boring!  Put her in the minor characters bin!  No one likes her!

There, all better.

Any takers?  Anyone?  Bueller?

NORMAN IS A BUTLER WITH A MINIGUN. You don't dare relocate that to "Minor Character" on my watch. I'LL take him, so long as I get a chance to use the minigun goodness.
War.
No promises on that, tho. Norman wasn't in too much of the action last time, if I remember correctly... plus, he's usually the calm, prim and proper butler... heck even in the manga he only used a machine gun as a last resort.

But if you're adamant about being Norman, I'll put you on the list Smiley

*also places Dorothy on Minor Characters list Wink *

Sooo... 'sup guys?  We starting this thing yet?  Still don't have a Dorothy?  Is Pen coming back?  Schwarzwald settled?  Etc, etc?

Not that I'm impatient or anything.

I've yet been able to find Pen online. Believe me, if I saw her online, I'd ask about it. :-/ So, as of right now, we *still* don't have a Dorothy. (And Finale's AWOL O.o)

Ditto on the Schwarzwald question.... have you two settled that out yet? Tongue

I'm all for BSin' it until we get ourselves a Dorothy (like have Dorothy be under repair or...outta town...or something...I dunno). Or perhaps, Dorothy's been kidnapped!? =O

Either way we slice it, I (and we) wanna start this thing...posthaste.

Well, that sucks.  I really liked Amelia Seebach.

Y'know.. that could actually work with Dorothy.  Just start the story without her.  She doesn't even have to be kidnapped/missing at first.  She could just be gone and if/when someone ends up taking her, let them decide where she's been the whole time.

I really don't mind taking on Dorothy. I'll take her for the time being, just to get the ball rolling. If someone else comes along who wants to be Dorothy, then I'll hand the character over to them. The only reason I'm a little weary when it comes to Dorothy is that I've always found it very difficult to write her (but I think I could pull it off). I do love Dorothy plus I've been meaning to rewatch my Big-O dvds so my Dorothy shouldn't be too far off.  If there is anyone else who REALLY wants to play I have no problem with sharing. Smiley

Or we could even do what Tifaria suggested, just have her get kidnapped. Either way would work.

Yay! So it's settled! Let's RP! Grin

Okay- I'm sort of updating Emilia Townshend's backstory just a tad. First of all (the who weird alias thing-gone-she's just going to start off as Emilia Townshend.

So just for my own personal reference here is the character sheet/bio for Emilia Townshend.

Useless info-
Emilia Townshend
22 years old (I'm making her a college grad as opposed to a teenager I felt like she came off as a whiny teen sometimes...lol but I guess then I was a whiny teen.)
Hair: Brunette (naturally pale blonde)
Eyes: Brown
Birthdate: May 13th
Height: 5'3
Biography-

Emilia Townshend has lived a priviledged life within the confines of her golden prison. She is the picture or better stated the "example" of  an ideal youth in Paradigm. Emilia is the progeny of Thomas Townshend, one of Alex Rosewater's faithful disciples. Because of her father's profession, Emilia is monitored, well practically stalked, by armed guards wherever she goes. She accepts that with the declining state of the city it is perhaps nessecary, if annoying. She doesn't question her father's motives till she discovers that there indeed may be another reason why he protects her so. At this revelation she decides to cast off her father's protection and takes to the streets alone in search of the past, specifically, her mother's origin.

Emilia doesn't remember much about that fateful evening in which her mother suddenly ceased to exist in her world, only that her father clung to Emilia as if she were his last salvation and with this he abruptly ended her childhood.

Emilia is no wided-eyed youth. She is highly intelligent (even if it does make her pompous at times), and not quick to make a judgements. She is an indesicive character especially when it comes to her relationships with others. Emilia is a graduate of Paradigm University and her father plans to further her into law school. Emilia reasons that the law is basically what Paradigm Corp. decides the law is. She doesn't agree with her father or his precious Paradigm. For long she had enjoyed the life it had given to her, but if what she believes is correct...Paradigm also cost her a mother.

Whoo!  Sweet.  I'm going to re-watch a few episodes later, I think, before I post anything.  There's a couple of things I need to refresh my memory on before I write.   Smiley

Hey, Gummi, did you want to keep the backstory between Emilia and Beck?  I rather liked it, myself, but it's up to you.  It doesn't even have to come into play until later, since I'm not sure if/when the two of them will meet up this time.

Yes, I diffenately want to keep the backstory between Emilia & Beck, or at least some sort of relationship or attraction between them...I also liked their dynamic. ^.^ I feel that we can diffenately do something interesting with it now that we've already laid the groundwork.

Awesome posts Tifaria and Evan! Excellent I think this beginning is even stronger than our first, RP! I posted, it's a little angsty...haha but I wanted something a little more dramatic. I'll expand a little more and start writing for Dorothy a little later.
