This show is not for everyone. I love this show. But a good majority of there people here at PCF will hate it. I do like the subtle references to other anime(a bit too much haruhi though), and the addicting opening song. This is definitely an entertaining anime that feels like Azumanga from time to time. But like I said, this anime is aimed toward a really small demographic.

Well, you would sort of think it was aimed at "a really small demographic", however the majority of the nation of 4chan seems to like the show. We are currently screening it at my anime club and everyone there seems to like it (and we are at an university level).

4chan shouldn't count. -_-;

From what I've seen of Lucky Star so far (first 8 episodes), I freakin' love it. Might not be the best anime out there, but it's definitely entertaining.

And that's what makes them so all powerful over the internets.

We must take back the Internets and free the tubes of /b/tards!

On Topic: I bet Kona-chan frequents 4Chan often. I do remember that someone mentioned that "new anime was more and more like chans" or something to that effect. It was probably somewhere between episodes 8 and 12 maybe?

That sounds about right. I think that was actually the last episode I was able to watch.

...finding streams can be frustrating.

Try Veoh, they have almost every episode of lucky star up and subbed.

They seemed to hide most episodes past the about the first three. Do they have a pay service to get to the rest of the series?

I think I used Stage6, but they had odd gaps in the series. TV Links is the site I watched most of the episodes from. And I will see more this coming weekend.

Without AFK's fanbsubbing hints and notes I wouldn't have understood 80% of the in-anime references, hence lies one of my complaints with Lucky Star. I don't like having to wikipedia various random references to understand jokes. Although the whole "Timote" shampoo bit was absolutely hilarious. Lucky Star is just different like that. Many of the jokes are funny, while some I don't understand even to this day.

Now that it's done I am quite pleased with the how it turned out. I still vividly remember the whole cheer leading scene, plus the episode ED's are god damn funny. I will never forget Minouru Shirashi's rendition of Hare Hare Yuaki. NEVER.

AFK's certainly the better of the two groups I've seen.

I think I remember him singing "Hare Hare Yukai" (pretty sure it wasn't "Bouken Desho Desho?"); all of that that I've seen so far were quite brilliantly done.
