There aren't any plans to localize Super Robot Wars? And that's, like, the only professional game (series?) with Big O and Roger Smith. Why does Japan get all the fun stuff...?
According to that fascinating web resource out there, wikipedia.org (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Robot_Wars#Games_In_English), only the 4 following games have been translated:
Super Robot Wars (GB, translated by Aeon Genesis Translation Proclamation)
Super Robot Wars 3 (SNES, translated by Aeon Genesis Translation Proclamation)
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation (GBA, translated by Atlus USA)
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA, translated by Atlus USA)
However, if this letter campaign gets going, I wonder if we could ask Cartoon Network or Mr. Konaka, to suggest either "SRW Destiny" be translated, or Big O get's it's own game. At least add a megadeus profile to Mech Warrior or something...

Sometimes I ask myself the same question... That's not to say the classic American toys are lame (like Star Wars, Atari, Hot Wheels and Matchbox, Slinky, Silly Putty. Merlin, NERF, GI Joe, Tyco/AFX racing), or that there aren't a few standouts in the new American toys (Robotix, Micro Machines), but the Japanese did come up with:
Micro RC cars
Modern Console Game Systems
Gobots
Transformers
Power-Trons
Lots of other cool little toys...
That's not to say the American toy industry is dead, but they need to re-focus on cool, original stuff, and not always movie merchandising...
