Fallout 3. Again.

I feel like I'm violating some unwritten law by having never played this, considering I've played fallout 2 just a crazy amount of times

(No xbox and I am on a laptop and will be on another one)

PC version of Fo3 is decent. Grab some mods, and gameplay tweaks because vanilla Fo3 is beyond lulzy.

Wasn't there a railroad spike gun? I remember somebody streaming a video of themselves playing right around when it came out and everybody in the chat channel kept screaming "FIND THE RAILROAD GUN!", I think the stream sort of died before he could really use it though

There is a Railroad spike gun, but as with all the custom weapons, it's pretty bad unless you you make a ton of them to repair them and the damage on it is pretty bad. Hell, I used the Chinese Assault Rife in all of my play throughs. That and the combat shotgun.

Edit: The Dart Gun. two a Deathclaw twice with this thing and you can leisurely kill it at you own pace as it cripples all limbs.

...<.<...

Gauss rifle WAS on topic. It's an epic weapon that I use constantly on Fallout 3.

But if you insist...

LIMBO.

This was a great game released on Live Arcade. It's full of puzzles, and can prove a challenge, even with 6 people trying to solve the puzzles after Repo practice! If you have a 360 and are connected to the interwebs on it, even enough to just download add-ons, get it.

But be warned, sometimes the level rotates, and excessive amounts of this can make your computer screen rotate when you type on a message board...

I've played (finished in like, one day) X:Com Enforcer...yes, the one that is apparently terrible.

It wasn't bad, as a third-person shooter..I dunno I had fun and thats the point

Anyway what I'm currently playing is Xcom, the actual first one. My highest ranking squad member, tank, and scout all got killed or zombified in a terror mission. I barely managed to save my sniper and retreat..and this is on beginner. It was a zany event hoping my sniper could run back to the ship and classify as in it when I aborted the mission, and he was surrounded by aliens in the burning landscape I created with incendiary rounds

(I dabbled with terror from the deep, its frustrating constantly forgetting what weapons dont work on land, as all the terror missions occur on land.)

edit: Also if fallout 3 is anything like 1 and 2..specifically 2. Max perception, pick traits/skills related to small guns and sniping, then get a rifle and just blind and cripple everybody. Only way to play

Oh wait FO3 doesn't let you designate "shoot at the eyes" does it. Cause that was hilarious, you'd fire one shot and the enemy would miss constantly or just die right there

Character builds are no go in  FO3. Every character I've played has more or less the same i.e Jack of All trades. Most of the SPECIAL stats are worthless. I'd just wait until New Vegas gets released, as it's been massively tweaked and improved upon. I pretty much blame this on bethsoft total lack of understanding what makes stats and character builds relevant.

My FO3 character is a sniper. Every perk that affects VATS is picked....perfect sniper...unless the Gauss Rifle glitches with the damn T-51 armor...

Mr. Chubigans' Sandbox of God.

White rabbits that have evolved up to the nuclear age. YoYo Games has them.

Been playing a lot of Seiklus lately.

I played through 80% of the game in one sitting, but had to start all over again when I realized that saving was manual... ugh.

Still fun, though.

Also, played some Kaipuu, which is sorta similar and a bit more polished but not as good gameplay-wise.
