I'm pretty terrible at [acquiring legal copies of games from my local retail store], so this is the first time this has worked out. Also for Starcraft, which is awesome too, makes LAN a lot easier. |

Lost Odyssey (360)
Was is worth the hype, sure was, def. a very nice game with a good story and amazing graphics. As for the music, Nobuo uematsu of FF fame does the music, and normally I find him to be grossly overrated, he does a pretty good job here.

Sins of a Solar Empire.
It's so awesome. It's a RTS set in space, where you start on a single planet, and you can see that there are planets in certain directions. If you explore those planets, you can figure out if they're Terran, volcanic, ice, an asteroid, or just an electromagnetic cloud, and then you can see more planets, which are connected to the one you just visited. Everything but the cloud can be colonized, making the planet yours, and allowing you to build structures on and around the planet. There's buttloads of research to be done, split into four parts, two of which are unique for each of the three races, one controls fleet size and number of capitol ships, and the other is artifacts. If you explore the planets you colonize, you might find artifacts, and they give your fleet boosts. The only one I found on the five planets I colonized gave all my ships increased antimatter regeneration. For the purposes of this game, antimatter is the same thing as mana, only spacier. I was bottlenecked against a pirate base, I kept trying to take it down, but every time they just overwhelmed me. I stopped when I realized I had been playing for the past 5 hours.
Highly recommended.

When he changes colors, use the beam of that color. If you have a lot of missiles, use the ice missile thing too when he turns white.

And then it turns out that DeDeDe got the Final Smash ball for the third time in the same match, because his up-air has so many hits. And then he chain-grabs you off of the edge in the Mario Kart level, because his downthrow-move to the side-regrab is a totally broken combo. Sorry, some guy who loves to take the fun out of SSBM has already found a way to kill it in Brawl, within 3 hours of it starting up. |

I think I saw that video where dedede was essentially a demigod. Then I proved that I suck, really bad, with him.
I like Sonic, he's not that great with big hits but he can rack up damage really fast and Super Sonic is an angel of death.

No More Heroes This game is so funny because it pokes fun at anime and video games in so many clever ways. That and it has comical amounts of highly exaggerated blood and gore. |
